Also, Calista Despret retired. When she was young she took care of orphans. When she got older she became a nanny. Now, finally, she has time for herself.
She’s moving into Nemours house, inspired by a historic Delaware mansion.
In other news, Rowlf is upset. Frysland married The Hussy, then learned he was never divorced from KaNita. Now The Hussy is pregnant, and there’s a rumor that KaNita is, too!
Of course, that has nothing to do with Calista. She’s happy to be on her own. The idea of having someone move in with her ever crosses her mind.
I meant “never” crosses. Ok, ok., I like my foreshadowing thick.
It really does look lonely, doesn’t it?
Not that she’s alone for long.
Calista: Rowlf? What are you doing roaming around all alone?
Well, he’s not exactly alone.
Frysland: Kaj, wasn’t there something completely unrehearsed that you wanted to say?
Kaj: So, uh, our house is really too small. We’re out house hunting. Do you know of any houses we could move into?
Calista (who loves foreshadowing as much as I do): I’ve just moved into an empty house! You could live with me!
