Ranma's Travels (A Ranma One Half / Multi crossover) By Ammadeau Roy.Fokker@UNSpacy.org http://Ammadeau.tripod.com/fanfiction.htm World 7: Oh My Goddess Ranma couldn't believe that his luck was changing. Regaining conciseness, he feared the worse that he was once again trapped in an alien dimension for a week, away from his friends and family. Sometimes it was fun sure, but he'd rather that it happened less often now that his life had reached manageable levels. Just as he was getting into a small fit of depression, he noticed a young woman pass him with silver hair and Ranma knew only one person that had that hair color. "Ryoko!" he shouted and started to run up to her, but surprisingly she didn't turn around or even stop. It had to be her, she was about the same height, wore the same style clothes, and moved the way she did regardless of the fact that she usually flew instead of walked. Had she not heard him? "Ryoko!" he said again as he finally reached her and put a hand on her shoulder to stop her. The woman that turned around was definitely not Ryoko. While there were a number of similarities, the tanned skin, gayjin features, and marks on the face gave it away. "What do you think you're doing?" she said in a tone that if Akane had used he'd be flinching already. "Um, I'm sorry," Ranma said, hiding his hands behind his back. "I thought that you were someone else." "Obviously," Urd said, feeling her anger fade as she started to look over the boy. All he had done was mistake her for someone else. He looked to be about seventeen with rough good looks combined with a very muscular physique piqued her interest. But there was more than that, a tangible aura of power hung around him at a level that she had never sensed in a mortal before. This was someone she should check out with the Yaggsil system. "And who is this Ryoko anyway? Your girlfriend?" Ranma laughed a little at that. Ryoko belonged heart and soul to just one person, and it wasn't him, "No, she's just a friend of mine. You look a lot like her, from the back at least." "Oh, and is she pretty?" Urd asked, running her fingers through her hair as she gave her generous assets a playful bounce. She smiled at Ranma's slight blush. "Yes, she's very pretty. She's also arrogant, stubborn, prone to jealousy, and has a real bad temper. But she's a good friend." Urd thought it was ironic that she had heard people describe her in just this way, even her own little sister. She decided that she liked this person, whoever he was. "You seemed awfully happy to see someone who is just a friend. Are you lost?" Ranma scratched his head. "Yeah. How did you guess?" "Oh, I have my ways," Urd replied mysteriously. "If you need to use a phone, there's one at the shrine that I live at. It's only down the street." "That's very nice of you, miss . . ." "Urd, just call me Urd. I didn't catch your name." "It's Ranma, Ranma Saotome." 'Wild horse?' Urd thought as she smiled, 'This one is going to be very interesting.' "I'm home!" Urd shouted as she entered the living room, Ranma following some distance behind her. He was happy that he met someone friendly right away, but he was starting to feel that Urd was a little too friendly. In much the same way that Shampoo was. 'If she starts saying woo da ni,' Ranma thought, 'I am out of here.' "Welcome home, sister," Belldandy replied from the kitchen where she was busily preparing lunch by hand. She could have used magic, but enjoyed the process of making food too much to rush it along. Besides, they needed to keep their magic in reserve in case Mara showed up. The demon first class had been a little too quiet lately. She was likely to visit soon. Urd looked around for the phone, but it seemed to have disappeared. "Sis, where's the phone?" "Oh my, I'm afraid that the phone is broken. Skuld was trying to fix it, but something happened and the phone exploded. Keiichi went out to buy a new one." "That's okay," Urd told Ranma with a smile, "You can use the phone in my room. It's a lot more comfortable there anyway." Ranma didn't like the way she stressed 'a lot' or how she purred like a cat at the end. "Oh, Urd," Belldandy called out to he sister again, "The phone in your room isn't working either." "How did that happen?" "Skuld wanted an example when she worked on the phone, so she took yours apart to see how they worked. I'm afraid that your phone was caught in the explosion." Urd said a few choice words under her breath that a good goddess shouldn't have known. "Where's the brat now?" "She had to leave suddenly. She didn't explain why." To Urd, the reason was all too obvious. "Urd, would your friend like to stay for lunch? We're going to eat when Keiichi comes back with the phone anyway." "So how about it, Saotome?" Urd asked as she turned to face her new guest. "Hungry?" "I don't want to impose."
