'My name is, or at least was, Ranma Saotome. I was raised to be the best martial artist by my father.'
'He had many faults including being a thief, a con-artist, being an idiot as well as lazy and greedy, and at heart he was a coward, but he was the only family I had ever known. Usually his faults never truly became harmful to us and I was able to ignore them. Only three times did this luck fail. The first was the cat-fist training where I was placed repeatedly into a pit full of starving cats with food tied to my body at the tender age of 6, causing permanent psychological damage. The second was the training trip to Jusenkyo where I was permanently cursed to being half a man. But it was the third time that truly changed my life forever and took away from me everything I once was and whatever future I was destined for.'
'This is the story of his third mistake and the life it created for me to live til this day...'

"They're still after us?! I thought we lost them at the warehouse district!" Ranma shouted as he stared at the men with guns that popped up out of nowhere.
"Hold it right there!" the apparent leader of the group stated in a flat tone.
Ranma flicked a quick look over at his father and realized, by the look upon his face, that he would receive no help with whatever was about to occur. He turned back to look at the black clothed men and tried to ignore the petrified look of gut-wrenching fear his father was wearing. "Why are you people chasing us?!" he shouted back.
There was a momentary look of surprise on the faces of several men before the stone-faced look returned. "Your father owes us a great debt and you're the collateral." the leader smirked. "Now, enough games! Come with us, now!" he snarled.
Ranma replied by immediately launching a tenchin amaguriken upon several of the gunmen knocking them out as they flew away from the force. He then grabbed up his unmoving father and quickly ran away, with the remaining gunmen fast on his heels.
After a bit of running and dodging bullets, Ranma grew tired of the followers and set loose a moko takabashi at the feet of the followers, which knocked the gunman in the front into the air and caused the others to duck for cover.
By the time they dared raise their heads, the two targets were long gone.

"Don't go back out there pops!" Ranma stared in horror at his insane parent.
"I need to get to the Dojo! Then we can alert the others to this threat!" his father replied heatedly without looking his son in the eyes. "I'll be back to help you then.." he ran out before his son could reply.
'He stayed longer than I thought he would, actually.' Ranma thought to himself as he settled down to wait whatever was to come.

Ranma jerked awake as he heard a gunshot closeby. Then tensed as that same cold voice made itself known.
"Surrender, boy! We know you're in there!"
Ranma stayed silent as he began searching around for a way out of this mess.
"If you're waiting for help from the cops.. don't. Your old man never made it pass us." Ranma froze at these words and continued to listen in horror at his words. "He wasn't very helpful at first, but he quickly gave you up once my men began working on his fingers. He probably would have told us more than just your location but I grew tired of his cries and pleas." Ranma sat in dread as his mind finally added things together. "In case you're wondering what that shot you just heard was, you can quit now. His body did such a beautiful dance as my bullet went through his skull."
Ranma went cold with fury as he focussed all of his senses upon this one man. It is said that no man is a killer until he encounters a killer. Ranma had just met such a man.
Ignoring the jeering voice which continued to try to drive him out of hiding, Ranma focussed his concentration upon the man's voice then began to buildup the biggest energy blast he had ever contrived, putting every last bit of his ability with this one shot. Then, for the first time ever, he let loose all his fury without calling out in warning.
The blast went through the wall and into the speaker and beyond, before anyone even had time to blink. Anything it touched was instantly vaporised until the power finally died out.
Terribly weakened by this total use of his chi, Ranma collapsed weakly onto the floor before crawling for cover.

The other gunmen stared in shock at where their team leader had once stood, then began to fire randomly at the wall through which the blast had come from, both in rage and fear. They fired and fired at the building turning it to ruins until they reached the end of their clips.
The gunmen quickly reloaded then cautiously entered the ruins. All they saw within was a young girl with red hair huddled against a wall babbling to herself and pointing hysterically at the back wall with a hole onto the alley through which their target obviously escaped.
One of the men aimed his gun at the girl, intent on leaving no witnesses, but another pointed out they needed all the ammo for the monster that they were hunting. As the team passed through the hole into the alley to continue their search, the first man paused to stare at the girl who was now quickly crawling towards the front exit and privately thought to himself that they had just allowed their downfall by letting her live... harmless or not.

As the red-haired girl exited the building she looked back in the direction the team had went and laughed deeply. She then blew a raspberry and with a chuckle said, "SUCKERS!" before walking away. She wouldn't have been half as happy if she had known her display had been witnessed.
"DID YOU GET ALL THAT?!" a wild voice whispered harshly from the shadows.
