Episode 15 : The Crest of Sincerity

Guest starring the cast of Slayers...

"How's she doing Nurse Joy?" Ash asked, wringing his hands.

Nurse Joy shook her head in the negative. "She's very sick right now.
It's an ancient poison that was in the blade of the dagger. It's called
Naga Breath."

"Damn," Richie snarled, pounding the table. "Is there an antidote?"

Joy only shook her head. "She'll hold out for a while. She's strong
thanks to her great physical conditioning and your DigiPowers. But
there's no telling when she'll succumb to the Poison. I'm sorry, but
there's no antidote in this time period."

"Then, we will have to find it somehow."

Ranma shook his head. "Aren't you listening? There's NO ANTIDOTE!"

"Shut up!" Ash snapped, tears in his eyes. "I won't lose Misty! Not to
anyone."

Suddenly, the door swung open to reveal an extremely shrunken old woman
balancing on her cane. Ranma looked up and blinked. "Cologne."

"What're you doing here?" Ash asked.

"I heard about your plight from Nurse Joy. She called me since the Naga
Breath is more magical in nature. I KNOW the Antidote. But I need
something...Something from the past."

"The Nanban Mirror!" Ranma exclaimed. "You have it, don't you!"

"Nanban Mirror?" Joy asked. Tracy and Richie sat up on the couches and
paid attention, questioning looks on their faces.

"Nanban Mirror? What's that?" Richie asked.

"It is a Mirror that allows people to travel through time without
bending the River of Time to Man's Will. But no, I do not have the
Nanban Mirror. I do have...something else." Cologne reached into her
robes and pulled out a gold and blue crest. It was decorated with a
rising Phoenix in the middle of it. "This is the Phoenix Gate."

"The Phoenix Gate?" Tracy asked curiously.

"Indeed. The Phoenix Gate is an ancient treasure that appeared in a
ball of flame nearly four thousand years ago over the skies of the
Amazon Village. My ancestors have kept a watch over this item which
came with a powerful incantation to transport only three people across
time and space, much like the Nanban Mirror."

"How does it work?" Ash asked, interested.

"You chant the spell and picture in your mind the place you want to go
or the date. As the only known antidote is nearly 10,000 years ago, you
may wish to think of the number 10,000 to get to your destination.
Observe." Cologne looked down on it and chanted in a low voice,
"Deslagrate Moritempae Et Intervallia!"

In a bright ball of flames, she disappeared and reappeared behind them.
Ranma whistled in appreciation. "Nice. Very nice."

"Why three people only?" Richie asked.

"Three people are the maximum amount of people who can be transported
at a time, since four or more puts a strain on the Time Continuum,
causing you to appear in the End of Time. A void of nothingness. So
choose your companions wisely Ash when you go and get the Mocchi Spit."

"That's the antidote then?" Ash asked hopefully.

"Yes, it is."

"I'm going out anyways," Richie said. "Take Tracy and Ranma with you.
You'll probably need the backup."

"And leave your Pokemon," Cologne cautioned. "They count as bodies."
She then pulled out a scroll, aged and worn. "This is the ingredients
needed to make Mocchi Spit and the Incantation is on the top. Good
luck."

"We'll need it." The three gathered in a circle as Ash held out the
Phoenix Gate and Tracy unrolled the scroll. "Deslagrate Moritempae Et
Intervallia!" In a flash of flame, the three disappeared from view.

Richie then turned to Cologne who pogoed to stand beside him. "Now
what?" he asked.

"Now, we tell the others that Ash, Tracy and Son-in-law have gone to
find a cure. God help them all."

<><><>

Genki sighed in contentment, a sprig of hay tucked between his teeth.
He laid back in front of the tree which was in front of a large lake
close to the outskirts of a town. Mocchi lay beside him, "Chi"ing in
contentment.

"Another lazy day," he sighed.

The peace was suddenly shattered by the arrival of a large ball of
flame which screamed out like a...

"THE PHOENIX!" Genki exclaimed in shock as he sat up. "HOLLY! SUEZO,
GOLEM, HARE, TIGER, COME QUICK!"

The others barreled into the clearing to see the ball of flame descend
from the skies. "It's GOT to be the Phoenix!" Holly exclaimed. "We
found it!"

Suddenly, the ball touched down and dissipated to reveal three people.
One was holding a crest, another a scroll that was unraveled. The third
eyed them warily as Genki and the others boggled in surprise.

"Um...hi?" Mocchi ventured.

"Hi..." answered the one with the hat on, "I'm Ash. This is Tracy and
Ranma...um, what year is this?"

Holly blinked. "Um....what year did YOU come from?"

"1999 AD."

"So if we traveled 10,000 years in the past, this must be around 8000
BC," Tracey mused.

"Wait a second here!" Genki exclaimed. "If this is 8000 BC, and you
guys are from 1999 AD, then that means this is EARTH! I've gone back in
time!" A beat. "COOL!"

"We need your help," Ranma said. "A friend of ours was poisoned by
Naga's Breath on a dagger. We need the ingredients to make Mocchi
Spit."

"Oh my," Holly said.

"That's not a good thing," Suezo added to the effect.

"Worse. We need to hurry. How long ago was your friend poisoned?" Hare
asked, searching in his pack.

"About four hours ago. We need to find a way to stop him, and heal
Misty."

"Mocchi give all the spit you need!" Mocchi proclaimed, horking and
spitting on the ground.

"Eew Mocchi, that's gross!" Genki exclaimed.

"Mocchi, Mocchi Spit is just a name for the Antidote," Holly said. "We
need several items to make the Antidote. Do you have a list?"

Tracy handed her the scroll and she took it. After perusing the
contents of the scroll, she nodded. "Okay, everything's here. We need
Whisker of Hare, shard of Golem, Eye of Blossom, Nail of Tiger...."

"Most of those ingredients we HAVE," Genki pointed out.

"I guess I'll have to give up one of my whiskers for a good cause,"
Hare said, sighing, reaching up and plucking one of his whiskers.

"A life is in danger," Tiger agreed. "I'm in." He sat down and started
to gnaw on one of his talons.

"Golem in too." Golem winced and scraped off a bit of stone from his
shoulder. "Ouch."

"Great! We have three of the six ingredients!" Holly turned to them and
said, "Now we need a flower called the Eye of Blossom, a herb called
Impus Root, and Mocchi has to spit into the concoction."

A chorus of "EEW," was heard from the group.

<><><>

Misty tossed and turned, her forehead covered with a wet cloth. Mimi
reached down and picked up the cloth and wet it in a bowl filled with
water and ice cubes. Then, squeezing it out, she placed it back on the
girl's forehead. Palmon sat beside her, constantly looking at the
monitors above her head, showing a rapid heart beat. "Hold on Misty,"
Mimi said, tossing a lock of hair over shoulder.

As Mimi continued to watch over the comatose girl, Sora quietly entered
and shut the door. "Mimi, I'll take over now. Get some rest, it's been
a long day."

"Hai. Thank you."

Sora sat down as Mimi exited the room and she picked up Misty's hand.
"Hold on girl. Ash will never forgive himself if you leave us now."

<><><>

High in the skies, a large spiked floating palace cast its shadow over
the earth, a menacing aura about it. And within this palace, the
Brotherhood of Evil Digimon sat, Muu standing at the front of the
table, his hands clasped behind him as he stared out the window. "Much
has changed since my last reign," he pondered. "Devimon, I thank you
for this new body."

"I aim to please Lord Muu. Truly the King of Monsters has such an
impressive form."

Muu seemed to smile beyond the featureless facemask that covered
Giovanni's face. "This one's wishes for power has agreed with my quest
to wreak vengeance on the ones who dare oppose me." His fist clenched
as he turned around to the Brotherhood. "Call forth your forces from
the Digital World. This time, we shall rule! Brotherhood! You are now
my Big Bad Seven! Nearly twice as much as those who failed me in the
past. The name Baddies will be known across the world! Yes."

<><><>

(So, we have served our purpose....but what IS my purpose? To serve
Muu?)

Jessie looked at her companion who sat in the room beside her. Mewtwo
was clenching his three fingered fists. "All those talks about ultimate
power, all those talks about riches, fortune and ruling the world. All
came down to this."

And for what? She mused. Happosai had lead her on an insane quest of
perversion and evil. And without James. Meowth. No inane babbling from
those two which she desperately missed.

Mewtwo looked up from his slouched position in the room's plush
couches. (Penny for your thoughts?)

"I wouldn't even get a dime for them," she snorted.

(It has seems that we have served our purpose in taking Muu's disk from
it's sleep. Now what? Thrown aside like yesterday's trash?)

Jessie stood. "We're not needed here. Let's go."

(Where to?)

She got a faraway look on her face. "James is a Psychic. You find him
and teleport us there. I'll deal with the Digidestined if necessary
but..."

(I understand.) A small smile grew on the Pokemon's face as he probed
the air for psychic waves. Then, in a flash, he found it. The strange
brainpattern that was unique to James. (Found it. Teleporting now.)

In a flash of blue light, the pair disappeared from view.

<><><>

"Excuse me Ma'am, but do you have a herb called Impus Root? Please,
it's very important."

The woman looked up and adjusted her glasses. "I don't have it but my
niece Colt does. She lives on the Monster Ranch just outside town. It's
the Kai Ranch."

"Thank you very much," Holly said. Exiting the store, she went to the
group who stood, waiting. "The Kai Ranch just outside of town."

"Kai Ranch?" Genki asked curiously. "What's that?"

"Ah, the Kai Ranch. That place is known for raising monsters with a
perfect fight record." Hare stroked his chin thoughtfully. "We should
learn a lot about Monster Ranching there."

"A girl named Colt should have the root."

"Then lets go."

Minutes later, they stood in the front of a large house with a barn in
the middle of the complex with large fields surrounding the Ranch.
Holly knocked on the door and soon, a girl who bore a striking
resemblance to Holly opened the door. "Yes?"

"Hi, are you Colt? The woman at the shop said you would have Impus Root."

Just then, Ash leapt forwards and clasped her hands. "Please miss, my
friend is very sick. We need it to cure her."

Colt blinked and nodded. "I have a few. What's she suffering from?"

"Naga's Breath," Ranma said, all serious.

"Oh MY. That is something. KAI! Get out here!"

Soon, a black haired kid dressed in black came out, adjusting small
glasses. "Yeah Colt?"

"Kai, get the Impus Root and the Eye of Blossom." Colt turned to them
and waved them forwards. "Come on in, it'll take a few minutes if you
have all the materials to make the antidote."

"Got them here," Genki said, holding out a sack with the ingredients.

"Hope you appreciate our sacrifice Genki," Tiger muttered.

"It'll be worth it to save Misty," Tracy said.

<><><>

"Okay, all the ingredients are in place. Now, it'll take two hours to
boil. Why don't you guys get some stuff in town?" Colt grasped Ranma's
arm and smiled up at him. "And you can escort me."

Ranma reddened as he scratched the back of his head. "Well..."

"Pleeeeeease?" Colt batted her eyelashes at him and he caved in.

"Alright."

Ash snickered. "Better not let Jenette hear about this."

"You shut up."

The town was lively, people walking everywhere, rows of homes
encircling in a pattern much like the pictures of Sailoon that Ash had
seen from the Slayers series. In the middle of the town was a large
chapel-like building. "What's that?" he asked, pointing at it.

Colt looked up and said, "That is the Shrine. That's where we unlock
monsters from discs."

"Too bad we don't have any Discs," Genki said, rollerblading along.

"Mocchi hungry," chirped the little Monster.

"We're all hungry. Where's the restaurants?" Holly asked the shorter
girl.

"This way." A few minutes later, they were before a large restaurant
where the patrons dined atop and around the building.

<><><>

"Any changes in her condition?" Tai asked, entering the room where
Misty lay, comatose. Sora sat beside the bed, holding a damp cloth that
had long since dried out. He circled the woman and rested a hand on her
shoulder.

"Nothing. I'm worried."

"Hey, she's a Digidestined. We don't die so easily, remember?" Tai
said, a smile on his face.

Sora took Tai's hand and nodded. "You're right. We need hope."

<><><>

"Are...they always like this?" Holly asked, a sweatdrop rolling down
her forehead.

Tracy shook his head. "Naw, sometimes they're REALLY bad."

The conversation in question was Ash and Ranma eating in a speed
contest that paled in comparison to anything they had ever seen. Colt
and Holly were under the impression that the insanely fast eating was
only attributed to the legendary and infamous Bandit Killer, Dragon
Spooker, Dragon Denester and the holder of several other such unwelcome
nicknames including "The Enemy Of All Who Live", Lina Inverse and
company.

Yes, even beyond the barrier, Lina's reputation has spread after the
little Dark Star Incident. (Filia STILL has nightmares about that
incident.)

"You know, I've only seen this happen once before," a serving girl
said, grinning. She was tall with purple hair, large bust and wearing a
uniform. "Last time when my sister Lina and her friends dropped by to
eat here."

"You mean there's someone else who makes this look pale in comparison?"
Hare asked, his brain gears churning.

"Oh yeah, so make sure ya don't get caught up in it."

Ranma spared a glance at the girls name tag. Hmm...Luna Inverse. He
shrugged off the thought and continued to eat in the hyperspeed way he
did while fending off Ash's advances and vice versa.

Genki blinked and asked, "Hey Holly, what place are we in anyways?"

"This is the country of Zephelia Genki," Holly said. It's part of the
New World."

"New World?" Genki asked.

Holly nodded. "In this part of the world, it was previously blocked off
by a strange magical barrier that kept people and ships from moving
through the barrier into this world. Here, Magic is more abundant while
we down south in the continent have more science than anything else.
That's where the 100 year war was waged while the other kingdoms within
the barrier gained strong magical power and was free of Muu's
influence."

"Oh I see, so we don't have to worry about Muu in this town, right?"

"That about sums it up," Holly said, nodding.

Soon, after the frenzied eating fest, Luna soon came along with a check
and Holly paid for the meal. As they got up to leave the restaurant,
the group passed a red head in a strange outfit with a lanky blonde
haired man beside her, followed by a girl with black hair and a stone
gray teen with purple hair. The girl shouted, "Hey sis! The usual!" as
they exited. The girl was at least seven months pregnant.

"Ah, that was good," Ash said. "I'm so full!"

Ranma paused as he looked at the red head, blinking. "She looks....
familiar somehow." Then, he rejoined the group.

<><><>

One would think that the trip back to the ranch would be a cinch. So
far it went off with no hitches so far.

But fate had other ideas.

"Hey!" a now female Ranma swore. A passing cart ran over a puddle,
splashing water all over Ranma. Holly, Genki, Tiger, Hare, Suezo,
Golem, and Colt stared at the boy turned girl. Ash and Tracey just
sighed.

"AH ah ah ah ah ah ah..." Genki stuttered.

"Now this is particular..." muttered Hare.

"Ranma?! Is that you?" Holly asked. Ash and Tracey just raised their
hand, quieting the group down.

"Yes that is my cousin. Ranma is under a curse. Whenever he makes
contact with cold water, he becomes a girl. Hot water changes him
back," Ash explained.

"Oh... so he's not some freak demon is he?" Genki sputtered.

"WHAT?! DO YOU THINK I WANT THIS CURSE?!" Ranma shouted. Holly was
about to retort, but they were soon interrupted by a laugh that
terribly reminded Ranma of a certain Kuno.

"OH HOHOHOHOHOHOHO!" A black haired woman in a black leather outfit
that proudly showed of her figure, and some might say too proudly,
appeared in front of the group. "Well... if it isn't my low level
rival, Lina Inverse. How dare you ditch me and hog the glory all for
yourself!" she declared, speaking directly to the only red head in the
group.

A couple of jaws dropped upon seeing this woman. For different reasons
of course.

"Hey, who do you think you are?! That is not Lina Inverse!" Hare
declared. He wasn't sure who exactly Lina Inverse was, but he
definitely knew that Ranma wasn't Lina.

"Oh... I guess you never heard of me you petty commoners! I am NAGA THE
SERPENT! LINA'S GREATEST RIVAL! OH HOHOHOHOHO!" the woman replied, her
breasts bouncing as she laughed. Because of this, Genki's eyes were
blocked, as to prevent him getting any impressions about the anatomy of
the female.

"Naga?! The Naga the Serpent?!" Tracey asked. The name awfully sounded
familiar. So did that Lina name as well.

"OH HOHOHOHOHOHO! I'm glad someone knows me! But for now I have to
settle my score with you Lina!" Naga laughed, making the group cringe.

If one looked closely at Ranma-chan's head, one would see the veins
popping out of her forehead. Normally she wouldn't bring herself to hit
a girl, but this Naga person was really getting on her nerves.

<><><>

Lina Inverse, world savior, town destroyer, bandit killer, dragon
spooker, the enemy of all who lives, and the bane of all restaurant
chains, was packing as much food as she can. And she thought she now
definitely had a legitimate reason too. She was after all, seven months
pregnant. Of course it seemed that there were those who weren't happy
that Lina was pregnant. This meant the Inverse line would continue, and
the child would probably grow up as dangerous as the parents.
Nevertheless, Luna Inverse was quite glad to serve her younger sister
and her friends, even though her boss didn't like this one bit. But
luckily for Lina, she had acquired a lot of money from the various
bandit gangs. Not that any one of them wanted to part with in the first
place, of course.

Everything looked normal, that's for sure. But an unexpected guest
happened to drop in. In fact she fell through the roof, crashing
through the table. Lina and Amelia's jaws dropped, for a couple of
reasons. First, they knew this girl. And second, this girl interrupted
their meal!

"NAGA?!"

"GRACIA?!"

The girl just groaned, having been on a end of what she thought was a
really powerful Diem Wing spell.

A vein in Lina's forehead popped out as she growled darkly. "My FOOD!
YOU RUINED MY FOOD NAGA! DIL BRAND!"

For the second time in the past five minutes, Naga the White Serpent,
soon to be tagged with the nickname as Naga the Usually Blown Up,
Charbroiled And Generally Stomped On, went flying into the skies and
crash landed outside of the restaurant, little Ranma-chan's and Lina
Inverses circling her head.

<><><>

"Woah..." Genki's jaws dropped. This Ranma just created a miniature
tornado that picked up that strange woman. The tornado then sent the
woman flying.

Colt whistled. First the curse, now this. However he didn't seem to say
he was a magic user. There was something else, that was for sure.

"What... what was that?" Holly heard about how people can wield great
powers, magic usually. But this didn't seem like magic at all.

"That was a Martial Arts move called the Hiryuu-Shouten-Ha. It involves
using differences in temperature to create that tornado. It is a move
requires a lot of ki training," Ranma explained, proudly.

"Chi?" Moochi 'chi'ed.

"No, it's ki. It's supposed to be the internal energy of every living
thing," Tracey added.

Ash, on the other hand, tried to figure who was this Naga the Serpent.
The name really sounded familiar. Of course this being Ash, he couldn't
connect this to the Slayers series he watch, well not yet anyway.

"You know Ranma, that was something of overkill," Tracy remarked as the
group headed back to the Kai Ranch.

"Yeah, like maybe that girl got hurt or something," Ash added.

Ranma, who was calming down from her little escapade, just sighed and
said, "She won't. Somehow, I know she'll recover no matter HOW MANY
times she gets blown up into the stratosphere. Don't ask me how I know,
I just KNOW."

Hare rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "You know, you DID just blow up the
Not-So-Infamous Naga the White Serpent, one of Lina Inverse's famous
traveling companions."

"That's the thing, who's this Lina Inverse?" Ash asked. "I think I've
heard the name before but I can't place it."

"Lina Inverse is a girl who's rumored to have killed several high
ranking Mazoku, is the bane of all restaurant chains and travels with
several people who are also insanely powerful. They say at the age of
13 or 14 she learned one of the most dangerous black magic spells known
in the area, and is willing to use it quite often."

"Mazoku?" Genki asked, trying to place that word before.

"A powerful race of Monsters that feed on the negative emotions of
humans, or that's what I heard. I heard that there are some Mazoku that
are just as powerful as Muu himself. If there is any relation between
Muu and the Mazoku, I don't know."

Ranma then smacked his hand into his palm as it finally dawned on it.
"Slayers!"

Tracy and Ash facefaulted. Ash got to his knees to gasp out, "It
actually HAPPENED IN THE PAST?!"

Genki then smacked his own hand into his palm. "Oh yeah! Slayers was an
anime that I watched back before I started to play Monster Battle! It
ran for quite a few seasons, didn't it!"

"Then that was the Hysterical Naga, wasn't it!" Ash added, the light
finally appearing atop his head. "That means that all those things she
did, bandit killing, dragon slaying, saving the world ten times over
really did happen! Wow, the guys are going to flip when they hear this!"

"Historical, not Hysterical," Tracy corrected.

Genki's mind boggled. First he thought he was in the world based on the
game he was playing. Then they told him he was in the past. Then he ran
into a cast member of the Slayers series. The implications were
tremendous indeed. What if they were able to gain the aid of the
Slayers team in the fight against Muu? If Lina Inverse was that
powerful enough to destroy Mazoku, she could probably fight Muu to a
standstill.

Ranma also realized something. Luna Inverse. That's Lina's sister, the
one she was afraid of. The one who works as a waitress. And the
pregnant girl was Lina.

Lina Inverse, the Lord of Nightmares incarnate. Lina Inverse, feared by
bandit gangs all over. Lina Inverse, the destroyer of a piece of
Shaburnigdo, Zannafar, Phibrrizo, Garv, Dark Star. Lina Inverse,
devourer of large quantities of food.

Lina Inverse, the mother?

That was kind of a funny thought. Of course he had to wonder, who was
the father? What happened to the child in the future?

He put those thoughts aside as they arrived back at the ranch, not even
noticing that a spirit was watching over them the whole journey. A
spirit that looked like a old man, very wise over the years.

"Well, well, Ranma Saotome. You think that the end of your journey is
near. I'm afraid, dear Child of Chaos, that it is only the beginning,"
the spirit said to himself, as the group entered the ranch.

<><><>

James sat back in his chair as he took in the scene before him. The
original Digidestined were hunched over a round table with Izzy in the
middle of it all, tapping on his laptop. Jenette and Brock were pacing,
looking wound tightly enough to snap at any moment. Misty was still
unconscious in the next room, being watched over by Richie at the
moment. All of Ash's Pokemon, including Meowth, Arbok and Lickatung were
there, either pacing or relaxing for the moment.

He sighed and sipped calmly at his soda. "Guys, stop pacing, you're
making me seasick."

Brock didn't stop as he turned to him and snapped at him. "James, you
have NO idea what we're going through here!"

"Yes I do," James said, standing up. "You have no idea how many times
Meowth and I went to great lengths to keep Jessie from getting
dangerously sick. We've been a team for longer than you twerps can
imagine. Besides, you're just a bunch of kids."

"Say that again," Brock said dangerously, edging forwards, his fists
balled.

James smirked as he crossed his arms. "You're...just a BUNCH...of KIDS."

With an angry howl, Brock launched himself at James who surprisingly,
was able to fight back. The pair rolled around on the floor, exchanging
angry punches and kicks before Nurse Joy's Megaphone cut into the air.

"THAT WILL BE ENOUGH!" She exclaimed into the Megaphone, stopping all
the ruckus in an instant. James and Brock froze in mid pose as the pair
grudgingly moved apart.

Nurse Joy had a disapproving look on her face as she said, "That was
inexcusable! You people are supposed to be a team! James! Brock! We
have a sick friend, even possibly DYING in there, and you two are
engaging in schoolyard brawls! What has become of you people!" She
sighed and handed the Megaphone to Chansey. "This. Is. A. Hospital."
She enunciated each word, stressing the facts. "We need to give Misty
all the rest she can get from this ordeal. Now, James, Brock, shake
hands and apologize."

Brock and James exchanged glances and grasped each others hand.
"Sorry," James said. "It was uncalled for."

"I know the feeling. But I'm really not used to feeling so...."

"Helpless?" James said, smirking a bit. "How do you think I feel
sometimes?" He looked over at Misty who was still sleeping, the heart
monitor still beeping. "Ash is a Lucky Man, to have a friend like her."

Suddenly, without warning, a pair of people flashed into the room,
putting everyone on guard.

Brock, who was technically second in command with the absence of Ash,
hissed, "Jessie! Mewtwo!"

Mewtwo raised his hand and spoke telepathically. *We have not come here
to fight, human.*

James looked at Jessie. She looked at him and removed her sunglasses.
"James."

"Jessie." He trembled for a second before saying, "Why are we fighting!
We've been together for years and now this!"

She sighed and dropped her mirrorshades, the glasses bouncing once on
the floor. "Hear us out."

"You have five minutes. Make it count." Brock said.

*Fair enough human.*

"The antidote is ready," Kai said, stirring the pot. "Now then. Mocchi,
come here and spit into it once. It'll turn purple."

Mocchi walked up and leaned over the pot. He then spat into the
concoction which then turned purple. Kai stirred it for a second before
dipping a flask into the liquid, and then corking it. "Here," he said,
giving the flask to Ash. "This is the antidote, Mocchi Spit."

Ash took it as Tracy asked, "How do we apply it?"

"She must somehow receive it in her system, and then as in the fairy
tales, get a kiss from her love."

Ranma started and then chuckled. "That sounds familiar somehow."

"Hey Ranma," Genki said, "can we go with you guys? I'd like to see home
once again."

"It would be interesting to see how man has progressed in 10,000
years," Hare said.

"I think it would be a good vacation for all of us," Holly said. "So,
how about it? Could we go?"

Ranma shrugged and thought. "Well, the Phoenix Gate can only carry
three at a time but we'll make multiple trips."

Tracy, who had pulled out the scroll, started to read about the Gate
and then, blinked. "Hey Ranma, we can carry more than three people."

"What?" Ash and Ranma chorused, looking over his shoulder.

"It says here, that Time Travel with any methods other than the Nanban
Mirror and the Phoenix Gate are restricted to Time Gates and something
called the Epoch. I think we can get all of us there in one shot!"

"That would be great!" Ash exclaimed.

"Then it's settled," Genki said, pumping a fist into the air. "We're
going back home!"

"Right. Thanks for your help, Kai, Colt."

Colt bowed and smiled. "No, it was nice meeting all of you. Have a safe
journey home!"

The group clustered quickly as Ash took out the Gate and focused his
mind on Misty's image. "Deslagrate, Moritempae et Intervalia!" A ball
of flame coursed around them as they then disappeared in a flash of
flame which took the shape of a phoenix before disappearing entirely.

"We're back!" Ash announced to the world who, frankly, wasn't listening
at the moment.

"And not a moment too soon," announced an arrogant voice.

"PREAPRE FOR TROUBLE AND MAKE IT DOUBLE!"

Ranma slapped his hand to his forehead and massaged his temples. "Hands
up who didn't see this coming." His went up, as with Ash, Tracy, and
all the others.

"To..." Cassidy started but stopped in shock as Ranma raised a hand and
shouted, "FIREBALL!"

<><><>

'How did I do that? That seemed... that seemed like magic...' Ranma
thought to himself. Leaving behind the still smoking Team Rocket, the
group ran towards the center where the doors hissed open upon their
arrival, revealing Brock who shouted, "ASH! Come quick, Misty's
flatlining!"

Ash bit back a gasp as he poured on the speed. Leaping into the room,
he skidded around, shouted, "I don't have time for the stupid motto
today!" to Jessie and Mewtwo, and screeched to a halt at Misty's
bedside. She was jerking with wild abandon as the poison finally
started to take a hold.

"Antidote," Cologne said, holding out her hand.

Ash gave it to the wizened old woman who hooked it up to the IV. The
liquid dripped into her arm as the girl started to calm down and her
heart monitor started to beep again, her pulse starting to grow strong.

"You got here just in time Ash," Cologne said, wiping her brow. "If you
were more than a minute away, she wouldn't have made it."

"Yeah, but Misty's not waking up," Tracy said.

"Remember the last part of the cure Colt told us?" Ranma said with a
grin.

The pair exchanged grins as they reached out and pushed Ash forwards
with a hearty shove. Ash, took by complete surprise, fell atop Misty,
his lips latching onto hers.

A long, embarrassed minute passed, Tai taking pictures.

Then, Misty stirred, opened her eyes and found her lips still attached
to Ash's. The pair broke contact as Ash backed up, panicking. "I, er,
Misty I...um..."

Misty's cheeks grew a huge blush on her face. Which was quickly
replaced by embarrassed fury as she slammed Ash with a mallet. "ASH
KETCHUM WHAT IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"

"Yup, Misty's back," Brock said, grinning.

"Oh my, it's so romantic," Jenette gushed, clasping her hands before
her.

"Well, that has it," Cologne said, "Ash is Misty's One True Love."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'ONE TRUE LOVE'?!" Misty screeched in embarrassment.

"C'mon, let's leave the Lovebirds alone," Ranma said, hooking his arm
around Jenette's as the massive group filed out the door, leaving a
furiously blushing Ash and Misty.

<><><>

"I'm sorry I hit you Ash," Misty said, picking at her hospital food. "I
just reacted without thinking."

"Well...I...I'm glad you're okay Misty," Ash stammered, still blushing
as he poked two fingers together.

"I appreciate it Ash," she said softly, a warm smile on her face.

"Misty, I...YEARGHHHHH!" Ash jumped as a deluge of cold water was
splashed over him. He spun around, furious and soaking wet. "OLD
FREAK!" Ash's scream brought people barreling into the room as the aged
pervert laughed on the window sill.

"WHAHAHAHAHA!" Happosai chortled, "This is my payback! I may not get
Ranma but I got you! See you later kid!" With that, he bounded out of
the room.

Ash turned around, snarling. "Old freak, what's this all about anyways?
It's really immature, splashing people with....what? What's wrong? Quit
staring, it's getting annoying!"

"Ash...look at yourself."

Ash blinked as he looked at himself. Smaller body, fine fingers, hair
having taken on a slightly purple edge to it in a familiar style, two
large mounds sticking out of her shirt....Oh. My. God.

Ash patted his chest again, hoping the orbs that lay there were somehow
gone. A welling panic grew in his, now her chest as she croaked in
horror, "I-I'm a girl....."

"Ash..." Misty edged forwards, unwilling to touch the water which was
rapidly soaking into Ash's clothes.

Ash's body, while similar in build to Ranma's female form was different
in the facial looks. For one, her hair was slightly more curled than
spiky, her face more slender, even wider caramel colored eyes and more
slender hands, she was rather sexy for a ten year old girl who's male
body had hit puberty at ten. She had a striking resemblance to Amelia
Will Tess De Seyruun. And brother, could Ash compare with her fourteen
year old figure.

"I'm a girl...I'm a sexy girl....wait..." Suddenly, her train of
thought derailed and rage started to burn. A flaming blue battle aura
grew until it encompassed even the most powerful aura that Ranma, or
for that matter, ANYONE had seen before.

Ash threw back her head and screamed, "HAPPOSAI!!!! YOU ARE DEAD! DEAD
YOU HEAR ME! DEEAAAAADDDDD!"

Closing Credits and Theme : The Time Has Come

I close my eyes
And I can see
The day we met
(A scene of Ash picking up a Pokeball and Pikachu escaping from its
inside. He picks up Pikachu and he zaps him.)

Just one moment and I knew
You're my best friend
'Do anything
For you
(A scene of Ash meeting Misty, Brock throwing a pokeball, and Ash
looking upwards, the camera panning backwards, into the sky.)

We've gone so far
And done so much
And I feel
Like we've always been together
(Scenes of Ash running along a beach, Misty, Brock and Pikachu trailing
along in the setting sunlight. A still photo of Ranma sitting atop a
cliff, that fades from brown and white tones to a full color picture,
his pigtail swinging in the wind. A constellation draws itself out on
the sky, Sagittarius the Archer. A shooting star arcs across the sky.)

Right by my side
Through thick and thin
You're the part of my life
I'll always remember
(A shot of Pikachu waving to the sky, his eyes glistening with tears,
Pidgeotto carrying Ryoga away. A shot of Ash's shadowed face, a stream
of tears dripping from his eyes. Ranma gathering Akane in his arms,
Ukyou wrapping a consolidating arm about Brock's shoulder. Ash sitting
down in the grass, Misty leaning on his shoulder, his jacket wrapped
about her shoulders.)

The time has come,
It's for the best I know it
Who could have guessed that you and I...
(Ash's face, haloed in a corona of light, Misty holding onto his
fingertips. He smiles at her, as the light brightens to a blinding view
and she collapses on the ground, sobbing.)

Somehow, someday,
We'd have to say goodbye
Somehow today...
...we have to say goodbye.
(Fade out.)

(A Magic Tech Production. A Shaun Garin Story.)

Authors Notes (Shaun Garin) : Whoa, this one took a long time to write.
Rocket was really starting to shout for this chapter. WarChild, correct
away and add the teaser for the next part. Thanx.

Authors Notes (WarChild): Man, this is going to be one big fic when
it's completed. And there are still the prequel and sequels to
consider, encompassing series such as Sailor Moon, Tenchi Muyo, and
yes, even Slayers. Hi, name's WarChild. You probably heard of my Square
Wars series, one of the completed Squaresoft/Star Wars crossovers on
the net. I was writing a Phantom Menace version... but maybe if I saw
episode 2 and 3 then I can better write that fic. Sorry to those out
there waiting.

Next time on Pokemon 152 - ? 2000: Oh no! Ash is a girl! NANI? Will his
powers work? And Ranma knows magic? What's going on? And where the heck
is Ryoga? Find out next episode...
