It was a bright sunny day. The sun was shining. The birds were
chirping. The flowers were blooming. It was a day to enjoy life.

But it wasn't the case for one red-haired girl lying in bed at an inn
in some nameless village. She didn't feel well. She felt she was going
to throw up.

In fact she decided do that right now.

"BLEAH!"

She felt better for a moment. She still felt groggy, and there was that
killer headache.

'What brought this on?' she thought, as she tried to get up. She hoped
she wasn't coming down with something.

Knock knock knock. "LINA! Are you awake now? They're going to serve
breakfast soon."

'Food. Maybe a good meal would do me some good,' Lina thought as she
got out of bed.

<><><>

The patrons could only stare and watch as the red-haired girl in the
sorceress outfit and the blond-haired swordsman devoured everything
that was set in front of them. Already the two ate three basketfuls of
bread rolls and was asking for more. The girl was at least on her sixth
plate of breakfast entrees while the guy was on his fourth, both not
stopping.

To Lina Inverse and Gourry Gabriev, this was a typical meal.

For those of you uninitiated, Lina Inverse was the sorceress, and I
mean THE sorceress, that all who are wise should fear. At the age of
thirteen she was a traveling sorceress from the lands of Zephelia,
looking for a place in life. She soon made one, as the destroyer of
bandit gangs, spooker of dragons, and devastator of towns, kingdoms,
and villages. With various nicknames like "the flat-chested terror" and
"the enemy of all who lives" one can see the type reputation she
garnered. By the age of fourteen she was seen traveling with another
sorceress, the mysterious Naga the White Serpent. No one has bothered
to figure out Naga's past, as no one has the courage to endure her
laughs long enough. By fifteen Lina had a whole new troupe, which
included the swordsman Gourry Gabriev, the chimera Zelgadis Greywords,
and the princess Amelia Seyruun. By then Lina earned herself a new
name, destroyer of dark gods and Mazuko lords.

You see during her travels with Gourry, Zelgadis, and Amelia, she
somehow ends up confronting a dark god or one of the five Mazuko lords
under Shabernigdo, the main dark god of the world. Within a span of at
least two and a half years, she fought a piece of Shabranigdo,
Zannafar, Chaos Demon Dragon Garv, Hellmaster Phibrrizo, ValGarv, and
the dark god Darkstar, which actually originated from another world.
The thing is, she fought them all and survived.

One would have to be an extraordinary human to survive encounters with
powerful members of the demon race. Yet this girl with the aid of her
companions managed to do so.

Anyway, back to the table. As the two ate to the hearts content, the
waitress watched and watched, her eye on the red-haired sorceress.
Finally the waitress walked up to the table, and placed a cup of tea on
Lina's side of the table.

Lina blinked. "Um... ma'am. I didn't order any tea."

"But I figured you could use some of it. It's a special recipe. Don't
worry about it."

Lina blinked, and took a whiff of the tea. It smelled pretty good.
Wondering what was going on, she took a sip of tea. As soon as she did,
her symptoms from this morning began to weaken.

The waitress smiled. "I figured you had that condition. That tea is
good for women in your condition."

Lina paled. "Um.... what are you talking about?"

"Well, don't you notice the way you were eating? I never seen a girl
who eat likes like that."

"But Lina always eat like that." quipped Gourry.

"Quiet you!" Lina gave Gourry a good pounding on the head.

"Not to mention the mess you made in your room."

Lina froze. "Are you saying what I think you're saying?"

The waitress gave another one of her smiles. "Congratulations. I guess
that you don't know it, but I think you're expecting."

With that Lina fainted.

<><><>

Hours later...

Lina couldn't understand it. How could she not notice it before? The
signs were all there.

She was pregnant.

In her 18 year old body(even though she didn't look that old) is a new
life, a new life waiting to be born and brought into the world.

Never in all her years has she considered the idea of motherhood.

But then she was never one to think that far ahead in the future.

"Um... Lina are you alright? You look kinda down," Gourry noted.

Lina looked up the blond-haired swordsman who has been her "protector"
for the past two-three years.

"No Gourry. I don't feel fine. I don't feel fine at all."

Gourry blinked. "Is it that time of month?"

Lina growled, and gave Gourry a good whack in the head. "NO, IT IS NOT
THAT TIME OF MONTH!"

Gourry reeled, and then recovered from the blow. "Good. That mean we
can take care whatever bandit gang we come upon with no problem."

Lina's eyes widened. Should she tell him? "No Gourry." She sighed. "I'm
not even in the mood to blow up a petty robber."

Gourry was perplexed. Something was definately wrong with Lina, and yet
she doesn't seem to be telling him. "So... what do you want to do
instead?"

Lina eyes stared at the road before them. "Home. Maybe I should go
home..."

Gourry shrugged. 'Maybe she's just homesick. But... she did promise
that she get me a new magic sword.'

Unnoticed by the two, in the trees was a purple haired man who observed
them traveling from the inn.

He smiled. This might make his job easier.

<><><>

"So Xellos, what do you have to report?" Beastmaster Zelas inquired of
her general/priest Xellos.

Xellos smiled. "It seems that you were right. Lina Inverse is carrying
his child. She probably knows, but he doesn't."

"Well, he probably doesn't even understand what's going on." Zelas
noted.

"True true. Master, Lina for now, has stopped her bandit hunting. She's
now heading for Zephelia, her home country."

"Zephelia, no army would dare attack it. Considering she lives there."

"Ah, yes. Lina's sister, Luna Inverse, the Knight of Celphied."

"This should make your next task easier, as long she stays there."
Zelas than stood up, taking a puff from her cigarette. "It has been a
long time of waiting for those two lines to be joined."

"Yes it has."

"Considering what has happened for the past two years, the time was
nearing for that to happen. And it couldn't have come at a better time."

"Master?"

"With the death of two of Shabernigdo's Lords, we, Dynast, Deep Sea
Dolphin, and myself, are worried with the presence of the Monster Lord."

"You mean..."

"Yes, Xellos. I refer to Muu, the Lord of Monsters, an entity that is
darkness but not of Shabranigdo."

Xellos nodded. Muu was a powerful Monster that existed for at least a
few years now. Muu has domains over an area were the spirits of
Monsters were held in Discs. Also while the lands within the barrier
has capable magical power, the lands outside thrived on science.
Already Muu controls a considerable amount of territory, and is
gathering forces. Although Muu's agenda isn't known, it is certain that
it goes against both the Mazoku and Ryuzoku.

<><><>

Several months later...

"Lina... are you sure you're going to need all this?" muttered
Zelgadis, as he carried an armload of packages.

"Of course Zel. Any child of mine deserves the best of stuff!" chimed
Lina.

"It would be injustice to deny a mother the proper goods to raise a
future warrior of justice," added Amelia, who was also carrying a bunch
of smaller packages.

"Lina... you don't think you're going to be spoiling the child?" noted
Gourry.

"Seesh. Don't worry about it Gourry. I'm sure everything will turn out
fine," Lina answered, as she opened the door to her family home. Soon
everyone entered, and plopped down all the goods they had purchased
within the past two hours. "Man I'm starved. All this walking has made
me hungry."

"But Lina, you didn't even carry anything." Gourry noted.

WHAM!

"Good grief Gourry, are you ever so dense? I have to carry this twenty
four hours a day and no breaks at all!"

"But I don't see you carrying anything Lina."

"DIL BRAND!"

<><><>

Luna whistled herself a tune as she picked up dishes and took them to
the kitchen for them to be cleaned. Life has gotten a little more
interesting. Her sister was pregnant. Yes, pregnant.

She didn't believe herself, but yes, her little sister Lina was
pregnant. It was because of this Lina had decided to return to
Zephelia. Lina was a wild person, but not crazy to risk harming an
unborn child. There was much discussion about this. The fact Lina
turned to her was surprising. As bad as all it seems, Luna did not hate
her younger sister. She did what was needed to be done for Lina to
actually survive. After all, she recommanded to Filia that Lina and her
friends fulfill the prophecy that led to Darkstar's coming.

She continued whistling to herself until she felt a familiar chaotic
presence entering the restaurant.

'It's must be Lina and her friends. She must be hungry again.' she
thought as she went back to the main dining room. But it wasn't Lina
and her friends. It was a totally different group. 'That's strange,'
she thought, as she looked at the group. There were two girls and four
boys in the group, as well a group of Disc Monsters.

Yes, Luna may be working as a waitress all the time, but that didn't
mean she didn't know of the outside world. She had heard of a world
where Monster spirits were sealed in Discs. She looked closely at the
group, trying to find out where the chaotic presence was coming from.

It was from one of the older looking boys. Age around fifteen to
seventeen. He wore a red shirt of unusual design, as well as black
pants. His black hair was kept in a pigtail. He also had an aura of
manly confidence as well as the chaotic essence she was getting.

"May I help you?" Luna asked.

One of the girls started counting their party members. "Umm... you
don't happen to have a table for eleven, do you?"

"Sure. Follow me."

<><><>

Later...

'I don't believe I'm actually seeing that,' Luna thought as she
observed the large group. They ordered a huge meal, but she thought
that was because they were such a large group. There was the teen in
the red shirt, duking out with the younger boy in the blue jacket. It
seemed some of the other members of the group were in disbelief too.
'In Celphied's name, I don't believe it. More and more I think, he's a
male version of my sister.'

"Are...they always like this?" asked the girl with the brown hair.

"Naw, sometimes they're REALLY bad." answered the teen in the green
shirt.

Luna smiled as she walked towards them. This was an interesting group.
"You know, I've only seen this happen once before," she started, "Last
time when my sister Lina and her friends dropped by to eat here."

The creature that looked like a hare was shocked. "You mean there's
someone else who makes this look pale in comparison?"

"Oh yeah, so make sure ya don't get caught up in it." Luna answered.

One of the boy, the youngest looking, blinked, and continued eating.
"Hey Holly, what place are we in anyways?" the boy asked.

"This is the country of Zephelia Genki," the brown haired girl who was
Holly said. It's part of the New World."

"New World?" Genki asked.

Holly nodded. "In this part of the world, it was previously blocked off
by a strange magical barrier that kept people and ships from moving
through the barrier into this world. Here, Magic is more abundant while
we down south in the continent have more science than anything else.
That's where the 100 year war was waged while the other kingdoms within
the barrier gained strong magical power and was free of Muu's
influence."

"Oh I see, so we don't have to worry about Muu in this town, right?"

"That about sums it up," Holly said, nodding.

'Obviously, they all must have come from outside the barrier.' Luna
thought as she left to get the check.

<><><>

Soon, after the frenzied eating fest, Luna soon came along with a check
and Holly paid for the meal. As they got up to leave the restaurant,
Luna felt another chaotic presence, one she definitely knew was her
sister. As if on cue, her sister entered, followed by Gourry, Amelia,
and Zelgadis. Her sister shouted, "Hey sis! The usual!"

"Just a sec... got to clear off their table first." Luna answered, as
she went back to the table where that large group just ate.

"Goodness, whoever ate there must be hungry as we are," Gourry noted.

"You don't know the half of it," Luna answered, clearing of the dishes.

<><><>

Just outside the city limits terror walked.

And it wore little.

And what little it wore, it was black, and leather.

And it had the assets that most women would dream of. (Not to mention
men, but for different reasons of course.)

And it produced the most horrible sounds in humanity, sounds that would
only be duplicated 10,000 years later by an insane female gymnastics
student, whom most of you would know about.

"OH HOHOHOHOHOHO!"

This terror was Naga the Serpent. Naga the White Serpent.

For the past couple of years she had been finding her "rival" and
"sidekick" Lina Inverse. In her own mind she was the more powerful of
the two sorceresses. Note that because she thinks that it's true
doesn't mean it is.

She was tired of her "rival" going out in the world and making a name
all for herself. She had heard the rumors all right. Naga believed that
if Lina actually did those things(defeating powerful demons) that would
mean Lina was hiding her true strength from her, Naga, Naga the White
Serpent. She will not be denied.

Ahem.

Anyway she went to various place to ask the whereabouts of Lina
Inverse, except Seyruun of course. There were bad memories in Seyruun
that this author believes most readers would know about, and would not
need further explanation. So with all places exhausted there was only
one place to go.

Zephelia, Lina's hometown.

Along the way she decided to bust up some bandit gangs for information.
It seems that the bandits were in some sort of fear or panic. Yes, even
though Lina wasn't on the rampage as much as before, they fear that
within ten years or so, the ending of all banditry would beginning.
Why? They say that in ten years Lina will be probably taking her first
child on her journeys a child they fear that will be like his or her
mother. And they dare not attack now because she staying withing
Zephelia, and the Knight of Celphied lives there.

Naga laughed at such a rumor. She can believe in all the other things.
But she didn't believe that Lina would be expecting a child.

She continued on to Zephelia. She continued on until she thought she
felt a familar chaotic presence.

Ahead of her was a red head girl, surrounded by at least three boys, two
other girls, and different kinds of monsters.

In Naga's mind though: Chaos + Red haired girl = Lina Inverse.

"OH HOHOHOHOHOHOHO! Well... if it isn't my low level rival, Lina
Inverse. How dare you ditch me and hog the glory all for yourself!"
Naga declared.

The group stood in shock at the sight of her. "Hey, who do you think
you are?! That is not Lina Inverse!" retorted the creatre that looked
like a hare.

"Oh... I guess you never heard of me you petty commoners! I am NAGA THE
SERPENT! LINA'S GREATEST RIVAL! OH HOHOHOHOHO!" was Naga's reply,
accompanied by one of her bouncing breasts. One of the older boys
covered of the eyes of the youngest looking one.

"Naga?! The Naga the Serpent?!" stated one of the other teens. Naga
smiled. At least someone has heard of her.

"OH HOHOHOHOHOHO! I'm glad someone knows me! But for now I have to
settle my score with you Lina!" Naga exclaimed, pointing her finger at
the red head.

The red-haired girl looked pretty mad, and everyone began backing away
from her. "I don't know who you think you are, but you are getting on
my nerves!"

Naga laughed. "So you have forgotten your rival, Lina? Maybe this will
remind you. FREEZE ARROW!" With that Naga started casting Freeze Arrows
at the red haired girl, who quickly dodged. This went on for a while,
with Naga not noticing she was just rotating and shooting Freeze Arrows
at "Lina." "Humph. Why are you not attacking?"

"I am now... Hiryuu-Shouten-Ha!" cried the girl, having completed her
spiriling run with an upper cut punch that didn't connect.

Suddenly Naga lifted into the air, much to the chagrin of the red
haired girl. Soon Naga was rising rising rising.... oh look she's over
Zephelia. No wait... she's falling... falling... falling...

<><><>

"Gourry... that was my leg of lamb!"

"But Lina, you stole half of my roast beef!"

"I'm eating for two here, Gourry!"

"That's your excuse for everything these days Lina."

"But it's true!"

This was your typical warfare over lunch with Lina Inverse and company.
In mere seconds all the food on the plate would be fought for, and
nobody could tell who actually got to eat what. All they know this that
it was a lot of food being eating.

"Eat up, Lina-san. We have make sure your future son is healthy and
strong, so he can be a great ally of justice!" Amelia remarked.

"How do you it's going to be a boy, Amelia?" Zelgadis asked.

"I'm just guessing here, and I hope it is a boy. Just think, a boy who
will inherit his mother's magic abilities and his fathers swordsman
skills." Amelia answered.

This continued on for a while, the eating and talking that is. But it
was soon interrupted by an unexpected visitor, Naga. Actually Naga fell
through the roof and crashed through the table, sending everyone's meals
to the floor. Of course her appearance was a surprise to both
Lina and Amelia, both who thought they would never see again in their
lives.

"NAGA?!"

"GRACIA?!"

Naga just groaned, having been on a end of what she thought was a
really powerful Diem Wing spell.

A vein in Lina's forehead popped out as she growled darkly. "My FOOD!
YOU RUINED MY FOOD NAGA! DIL BRAND!"

For the second time in the past five minutes, Naga the White Serpent,
soon to be tagged with the nickname as Naga the Usually Blown Up,
Charbroiled And Generally Stomped On, went flying into the skies and
crash landed outside of the restaurant, little red haired girls
circling her head.

<><><>

Later that day...

Lina sighed as the sat down on the front porch at her family home.
Amelia, Gourry, and Zelgadis were there. Just before there was a short
reunion with Naga at the restaurant, relating their adventures since
they serparated. As it seems though, Lina had the far more grander
experience, if you would call fighing powerful members of a demon race
such a thing. There was little talk of the mysterious red head Naga ran
into, or the black haired teen Luna served earlier. Mostly it was talk
of the new child, much to the chagrin of the expecting parents. After
awhile they left, leaving Naga at the restaurant. After all Naga
damaged the roof and a table. She has to work the damage off.

Now Lina just sat on the porch, observing the horizon.

"Lina-san... are you alright?" Amelia asked.

Lina Inverse turned to Amelia, and smiled. "I'm fine Amelia. I just
felt something important just happened."

"What is it? What do you feel?" Zelgadis asked.

"I don't know. But somehow I feel the future's going to be alright,"
Lina answered, patting her pregnant belly.

"Well, Lina-san, I see you've been doing well," a familar voice spoke.
The four soon turned to see a certain trickster priest.

"XELLOS!"

"Humph. No matter how many times I do that you are always surprised."

"Humph. Well, what are you doing here? Doing your usual checkups as
usual?"

"Of course Lina-san. Although this will be my last one."

"Last one, Mr. Xellos?" noted Amelia.

"Yes. I and the other Mazoku generals have been observing a being who
calls himself Muu, the Lord of Monsters. As you know, the Dark Lords
are nervious of other powers that have existed outside the barrier. So
for every two months one of the three remaining generals, which
includes yours truly, are sent to the new continents to spy on him."

"In other words, you're spying on the competition," Zelgadis dryly
noted.

"Well, you could think of it that way. I would liked for you accompany
me Miss Inverse."

"REALLY?!" Lina beamed.

"But considering you're with child now, I don't think you should be
coming. In fact, it's against Beastmaster Zelas' orders to do so."

"WHAT?!"

"It's too bad really. After all, reports of a hidden weapons and
treasure vault controlled by Muu came in. I knew you would like to
come just to examine these treasures for yourself."

"Ugh!"

"Oh, it's alright Lina. After all we might already have the greatest
treasure possible," Gourry remarked.

Whack! "And what would that be, Jelly-fish for brains?!"

"Ano... the child..." Gourry answered.

Lina then blushed.

Fin.

Actually, there are bits from Episode 15 of Pokemon 152 - ? 2000. So I
guess Shaun would have some credit.

Why did I wrote this? I wanted to write something Slayers related, and
I thought a little back story related to the Pokemon 152 - ? 2000
series could be done. So here it is. Obvious if you never read Pokemon
152 - ? 2000 you might not understand this.

Who's the father of Lina's child? I'll give you a couple of guesses.
And what does Lina having a child have to do with Pokemon 152 - ? 2000
and its future sequals Pokemon Cross and Ranma Rebirth? Sore Wa Himitsu
Desu.

But I guess when you read the soon to be released final episodes of
Pokemon 152 - ? 2000 you might have some answers but I'm not saying
anything.
