Ash Voiceover: It's been four years since the battles with Muu.
Everyone's moved on after that.

Ranma is in College now in Odiaba, studying to be a Sensei and takes
guitar lessons now from Uncle Matt.

Richie and Tracy have taken the time to travel together. Last I heard,
Tracy stayed on Pinken Island.

Brock is teaching at Pokemon Academy. He's seeing the local Nurse Joy
too.

Jessie, James and Meowth have started a wonderful restaurant that
serves some of the best food on the islands.

Jenette is at Tokyo University studying to be a doctor.

And Misty, Pikachu and I are still traveling together. Guess nothing'll
break us apart, ne?

(Opening theme : Chrono Cross Scars Left By Time)

We see a book that slowly flips open, then a page lands to settle on
the pages below. Then, a voice starts to speak.

A deep voice: When was the start of this?

When did the cogs of fate begin to turn?

Perhaps it is impossible to grasp that answer now,

For deep within the flow of time...

But, for a certainty, back then

We loved so many, and hated so much,

We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

But even then, we ran like the wind

                        Whilst our laughter echoed

                           under Cerulean Skies.

We see Ash, his hair being blown in the wind as he stands at the front
of the Highwind deck. Then we see the Eight Dragon Gods floating in the
skies. We see a beam of light lance out in the middle of the ocean,
Muu's palace floating in the middle of it. We see Misty slash two
monsters and cast a bolt of blue ice at another. We see the
Digidestined from left to right.

We see Tenchi and Kagato fighting one on one. We see the Lunar Senshi
fighting monsters. We see Serge, Leena, Kid, Crono, Lucca, Marle. We
see hordes of monsters. We see the Transformed Dragon Armors. We see
Tai and the others. We see Ash standing atop a tall tower, looking
outwards. We see a giant eye opening. We see the Masamune before it. We
see the Digidestined Digitizing. We see the Digimon. We see the
Pokemon. We see the Monsters. We see...FATE. We see Lavos. We see Muu.
We see Two worlds spiraling as one, with a golden figure overlooking
it. We see a strange golden object in the middle of the screen. We see
Ken and Muu's face overlapping his own.

We see darkness enshrouding the world.

We see a shot of Misty on the beach, then she turns towards the screen,
holding her hands out, the picture going into the depths of her blue
eyes.

We see shots of Ash, Misty, Brock, Ranma, Genki, Duplica, Mike and
Leena turning around, flames in the background.

We see the Highwind entering the light and Ash collapsing, the
brilliant white light encircling the Highwind as the picture goes to
the Pokemon Cross logo.

"Checkmate...." the man looked up and nodded at his opponent. "Game in
fifty moves."

"Very well. Care for another?"

"Of course."

Present Day : 2003 AD

Home World

In a small city known as Cherrygrove City, three people were
vacationing there, while two others were still on a Pokemon Journey
that had started a fateful morning nearly five years ago.

Down below in the city, a young boy, about fourteen years old walked
down the street. He was of medium height with short brown hair, black
pants, white shirt and an Eevee was perched atop his head.

The teen was speaking to the Eevee in amused tones. "This is great
Eevee. A vacation after taking on the Indigo League! Here in Johto, the
city is home to many new Pokemon!"

"Vee!" enthused his Eevee.

"And what's good about it is that the girls are cute here!"

"Eee! Vee!"

The teen stopped at a crowd that was forming around a stage. He tapped
one on the shoulder and asked, "What's going on?"

"The famous Duplica from the House of Imite is here!" The man said.
"She's just getting on stage." Anything else was drowned out as Duplica
took the stage with Ditto amidst a roar of cheering voices.

"Thank you, thank you!" she said into the microphone. "I'm glad to be
here!" Duplica had grown since Ash, Misty and Brock met her five years
ago. She had become taller, sexier and wore a small tight dress and
short jacket combo that got the mens attention. She had her hair loose
that shined in the sunlight. When Ash and Company had met her a few
years ago, she was only about thirteen. Now, four years later, she was
now seventeen.

"....can I have a volunteer from the audience?" she asked, looking over
the crowd. Hands went up in expectation as she picked out a person.
"You there with the Eevee atop your head! Come on up!"

The teen climbed up on stage and was handed a mike. "Tell us your
name."

He cleared his throat a bit nervously as he said, "I'm Mike from Stone
Town, one of the Four Battling Eevee Brothers. I'm just here on
vacation."

"Mike! Wow, I'm honored to have one of the Battling Eevee Brothers
here! Please, choose the thing that you would like Ditto to transform
into."

Mike thought hard for a second before he said, "Do a Gengar."

"Alright! DITTO! TRANSFORM NOW!"

With a glow of light, Ditto shape shifted into a purple and black
Gengar. "Gengar!" he said in a squeaky voice.

"Wow! That's great!"

<><><>

"Miss Duplica?" Mike asked as the girl was putting away the sound
equipment.

"Yes? Oh Mike, hello." She stood and smoothed out her short jacket.
"Anything I can do for you?"

He nodded shyly. "Well, I'd just like to ask you...well...um...."

"Yes?"

"I...heard you met the famous Ash Ketchum...is this true?"

Duplica giggled sexily. "I remember Ashy. What a cute guy he was. But
sadly, he's taken."

Mike relaxed visibly. "That's cool! I met him too once, back in Stone
Town. He returned Eevee to me."

"Was your Eevee lost Mike?" she asked, sitting down on the side of the
stage. Mike joined her and sort of shook his head.

"Not really. Pyro, Rainer and Sparky were practically forcing me to
evolve Eevee. I didn't want to do it so I hid him in the forest. Misty
returned him to me, and together, we won against Team Rocket!"

"Team Rocket?" Duplica smiled and laughed. "They wouldn't be a duo
called Jessie and James? The now owners of the Jessie James Restaurant
Chains?"

Mike goggled. "You know them?!"

Duplica laughed. "Of course! Ashy helped me get Ditto back from them!"
The amoeba Pokemon bounced up and curled up in Duplica's lap. She
stroked him as she continued. "We dressed up like Team Rocket to knock
them off balance as we got Ditto back."

"Sounds like fun." Mike then thought for a second before saying,
"What's your talent? I know Ditto can imitate anyone or anything but I
haven't seen you do someone."

Duplica stepped down and said, "Follow me." She led him to a row of
costumes and said, "No blinking." She seemed to meld into the racks of
clothing and came out, an exact copy of Misty when she was younger,
just a bit more busty. "Hey Mikey!" she purred in her voice.

Mike's jaw dropped in shock as Eevee blinked. "Wow!" he exclaimed.
"That's so cool!"

Duplica/Misty then melded back into the clothing racks and then emerged
from the other side as Ash, right down to the cap. Just to make the
look complete, Ditto transformed into Pikachu and leapt onto her
shoulder. Mike clapped in appreciation. "Way cool! Wish I could do
something like that!"

"It takes practice and a lot of dedication," Duplica/Ash said in Ash's
voice. "And a lot of vocal control."

She then melded back into the clothes and came back out as herself.
"So, impressed?"

"Very. Hey Duplica...if you're not busy or anything...maybe...would
you...well..." Mike was suddenly shy once again.

Duplica took the blush on his face and smiled as she linked her arm
with his. "Sure, I'll go and have tea with you. There's a great tea
house just around the corner!"

"Really? Thanks a lot!"

After Ditto turned into a handbag, they headed off to the teashop,
cutting through alleys. As they passed a seedy looking man flipping a
coin, he reached out and grabbed Duplica's shoulder. "Hey girl. Why
don't you ditch the weed and come with me?" he asked in a bad imitation
of a suave voice.

"Sorry, I don't date street trash," she said, shaking off his arm.

Suddenly, the alleyway was filled with hoods. The lead man, the coin
flipping one pushed off the side of the house and stood before the pair
who had stanced back to back. "I must insist. You see, no one refuses
the Dragon Fangs." Several weapons were brought out from nunchucks to
butterfly knives. Thank god that no normal hoodlum could get his hands
on guns easily, thanks to Pokemon Island's strict gun laws.

"Too many of them," Mike whispered.

"Then why don't we try and whittle down the odds?" she said with a
small smile. Suddenly, she threw up her handbag and shouted, "Ditto!
Transform!"

Ditto transformed in the middle of its flight to become a long shiny
katana. Mike blinked at it but found due to closer inspection that it
was a Sakabutu. "Eevee! Rage Take Down!"

"Ditto! Thunderbolt!"

After the two surprise onslaughts, there were fewer people in the
alley. Duplica, strangely enough, apparently had kendo training and
tore through the ranks, knocking them unconscious. Mike had Eevee
dashing around too fast for them, tackling them in the gut for good
measure.

The leader soon found his whole gang outgunned and decided to pull his
trump card. Reaching into his jacket pocket, he pulled out a small
revolver and cocked it. But he never got the chance as a flying body
tackled him, sending him and the gun into the wall. The figure made a
smooth U-turn and picked up the gun. He motioned to the other still
conscious figures and they ran. Duplica and Mike stood warily as the
figure was still hidden in the shadows.

"Who are you?" Mike asked.

The figure glided out into the open to reveal a young man with a
backwards orange baseball cap, loose blue shirt, tan shorts and a pair
of rollerblades on his feet. He seemed to be a bit older than he
looked. "I'm Genki. Hope you guys aren't hurt or anything, are you?"

"Nope," Duplica said. "Thanks for helping us."

Genki grinned and tucked the pistol into his waistband. Then, reaching
into the backpack he wore, he pulled out a length of rope and started
lashing the hoodlums together. "The local Officer Jenny is just a few
blocks away. Can you help me take these guys in?"

"Sure, no problem."

<><><>

Officer Jenny flipped through a few files. "Put out an APB for the
Dragon Fangs. Their leader was seen in the vicinity of Arms."

"No need for that," came Genki's voice as he, Mike and Duplica hauled
the gang in, still unconscious on a rope. "Here's todays delivery of
street trash Officer Jenny."

"Why thank you Genki. I wouldn't have expected anything less of you."
Jenny took the rope and tied it to the freestanding pole. "Now get back
home, your mom is waiting for you."

"Right! Oh and here's the gun they used."

The trio exited from the building into the dimming sunlight as Genki
said, "I always loved the sunset."

Mike looked at him with interest. "You look familiar somehow Genki."

"I'm famous," he replied with a touch of ego. "I helped take down Muu."

"You're THAT Genki?!" Duplica asked, amazed.

"Yeah, cool ain't it?"

<><><>

A figure was hidden behind his map as he looked right and left. Then,
disgusted, he crumpled it up and tossed it over his shoulder. "Leave
town for a few years and they change everything Pikachu."

"Got that right," Pikachu muttered.

Misty jumped a bit as she giggled nervously. "I'm still uneasy that you
can still talk Pikachu."

"Momma? What's the matter? Are you still nervous?" Togepei asked of the
red head.

"Not really."

Ash sighed as he adjusted his black fingerless gloves restlessly. "We
need to find a place to stay for tonight."

"Good luck on that," Misty muttered, "The town is like Cinnibar Island.
There's people EVERYWHERE!"

"C'mon, it's vacation time," Pikachu said, leaping down from Ash's
shoulders. "let's party!"

"Yay!" Togepei cheered.

<><><>

There's fate. And there's FATE.

FATE was deeming that these people meet up. Why, you ask? Well, simply
because DESTINY wasn't done with them just yet.

Beware evil, the Digidestined are back in full force.

<><><>

"Keep up you guys!" Genki shouted, rollerblading along the streets, the
other two in hot pursuit.

Mike and Duplica stayed neck in neck, their feet moving at speeds that
were not meant for humans as they careened around a series of obstacles
that Genki moved through with ease. Mike twisted as he leapt up and
over a low trashcan, Duplica cartwheeling over the first row of hedges.

Genki laughed as he kept on moving along, turning a corner and
suddenly, his feet hit a patch of water. "AAAAHHHHH!" Zooming out of
control, he pitched forwards and crashed into a pile of garbage bags.

Mike turned the corner and skidded to a stop. Duplica joined him and
laughed. "Nice moves Genki!"

Genki fished himself out of the garbage and picked a banana peel from
atop his head. "Thanks for the encouragement guys."

Just then... "Genki? That you?"

Genki looked up and gaped. "Ash! Misty!"

Duplica's eyes went wide. "Ashy?"

Mike goggled. "Ash? Misty?"

Since the two were out of the loop, they were unawares of Ash and
Misty's changes when they had received the Digital Powers. Ash had
matured, long shaggy black hair framing dark brown eyes. He wore a pair
of faded jeans, a black shirt, black fingerless gloves and a dark blue
jacket with the emblem of the Pokemon League on it. Pikachu wore Ash's
old Pokemon League Hat.

Misty was taller now, gorgeous with long red hair that went to the
small of her back, and she wore a tank top and jeans that were just
tight enough to let the imagination run wild but still kept her
modesty. She still held Togepei in her arms that trilled happily. Her
usual red backpack was slung over her shoulder.

"Hey Genki!" Ash greeted. Then he turned to the others. "Umm..."

Misty smacked him upside the head. "Ash! That's Mikey and Duplica!"

Duplica laughed as she hooked her arm around Ash's. "Don't you remember
me Ashy boy?"

"Oh yeah! House of Imite! Wow, you've grown a lot since then."

Duplica smiled. "Well, I AM seventeen. How about you Ashy?"

"I'm fourteen and Misty's sixteen."

"It's been a long time Ash," Mike said, stepping forwards. The two men
grasped hands. "Remember me? I'm Mikey from Stone Town."

"You grew up!" Misty exclaimed. "Wow, how old are you now?"

"I was ten when you and Ash came. I'm fourteen now."

Ash grinned and then turned to Genki. "How's Holly doing?"

Genki smiled and shrugged. "She's back in the past, rebuilding after
the War of Monsters. That's what people are calling our fight with Muu.
We sealed him in the mountains."

"Man, so you DID set us up for the fight of our lives!" Ash exclaimed.

Genki shrugged. "Least I could do."

<><><>

"Hurry! The Baddies are catching up!"

The pair, both dressed in dark brown cloaks and hoods sped down the
halls, one of them grasping a box, inlaid with gold in her hands. They
ran into a room and the one with the box placed it onto the round disc
shaped machine in the middle of the room. The other started the machine
up. It came to life with a whine of energy. "Setting a new course. Mark
Four One Seven."

Suddenly, the outer wall exploded inwards as Baddies came hissing into
the room, carrying energy weapons. As a blanket of fire came from the
monsters, one of the bolts slammed into the back of the one at the
machine. He gasped as he slammed his hand down on the button.

Then, he slumped, boundlessly to the ground, a pair of coke bottle
glasses tinkling as they shattered against the ground.

"MOUSSE!" the woman screamed. Just then, the machine whined to life as
she turned and leapt into the port, just as a blaster bolt slammed into
her back.

Then, the machine overloaded and exploded, taking the Baddies with it.

Nerima Base went up in a mushroom cloud.

<><><>

"What's that?!" Duplica cried, pointing at the streaking comet that was
coming closer and closer. Then, with a tremendous crash, it slammed
home in the park, sending up a cloud of dust and birds took aflight.

"It landed in the park!" Ash said. "Lets go!"

After an indeterminable time, they reached the crater. Ash screeched to
a halt as there was a cloaked brown form clutching a case that seemed
none the worse for wear. Misty slid down the crater and pushed the body
over. The eyes behind the hood opened up and whispered, "Misty....."

Misty gently pushed the hood back and found a bleeding and worn Shampoo
who coughed. "Misty....thank....thank God I found you..."

"Shampoo?" Ash asked, kneeling beside the purple haired woman.

She turned and smiled. "You....seem familiar somehow...and..."

"Don't try and move," Genki warned, reaching in his pack for medical
care but Shampoo waved it away.

"I am almost dead anyways. The Transporter was not meant for humans.
And...I took...a blaster bolt in the back...."

"Who did this?!" Ash pushed. Meanwhile, Duplica and Mike was in shock.
They had realized that they were about to see someone die for the first
time. With no one to help.

"Muu's....Baddies....help....take box....is only chance
for....survival.... read....message....tell....all...4327...."
Shampoo's eyes closed and she lay, dead.

"Oh God no," Misty said, her eyes watering. "She's dead."

Genki reached down and pried the box from her hands. "She wanted us to
read this. We should honor her request."

Suddenly, her body sighed as it went up in flames. Then, a cat spirit
that seemed to wink at them rose and disappeared. Nothing was left of
the Amazon warrior.

The three shared a silence for a minute for their dead friend before
Ash stood up. "Let's find some place to read this."

<><><>

"Greetings Digidestined of another world. If you are reading this, then
I am already dead." The holoprojector that started when Ash had opened
the box showed a battle worn Shampoo in combat fatigues. "many years
ago, four years to this date, Muu attacked. We were unprepared,
unbalanced by his first onslaught. He killed the remaining
Digidestined, leaving the population helpless. Unwilling to use their
nuclear weapons to destroy Muu, and ultimately, destroy earth, the
United Nations set up resistance bases to protect the people. I was the
leader of Nerima Bay, an underwater base that was conceivably
protected. But we were in the unfortunate position of being in
MetalSeadramon's territory and Baddies overran the base. This box
contains new Digivices that we were working on to help combat the
Baddies. But only the ones that are meant for these Devices can pick
them up. If any of the Digidestined are in this universe, then the ones
in close proximity will change to match theirs. Our fate is in your
hands Digidestined. Please help us." Then, the transmission ended.

The beam of light disappeared as three Digivices appeared. They greatly
resembled the ones TK and Kari had with the exception of a keypad on
the bottom. Ash reached for one and a bolt of electricity lanced out
and shocked his hand. "OW! That won't work."

"Ash, let Genki and the others try. They don't have devices." Misty
said.

"You're right. Try it you guys."

Genki reached for one and his hand passed through the beam, and he took
a hold of the Blue one. Duplica and Mike got the Yellow and Red ones.
Just then, the Digivices that Ash and Misty had mutated into similar
ones, one green, one pink. Just then, a blue laptop dropped into
Genki's hands as well, accompanying the Digivice.

"You think we're up to this?" Mike asked. "You heard what they said, we
have to liberate a whole PLANET!"

"If we don't then Muu will destroy the earth." Genki's face was in hard
lines as he clutched the Digivice. "It's time to get serious."

"How do we get there?" Misty asked.

"The Digivices can do it," Ash said. "They helped us once before. Now
it's time to rely on them once again. We'd better get some rest.
Tomorrow, we're going to that other world!"

"RIGHT!"

<><><>

"MetalSeadramon, what is your latest reports on the Nerima situation?"

"I am happy to report that one of the main Nermia bases have been
eliminated. A squadron of baddies were lost, but the base has been
thoroughly destroyed."

"Any survivors?"

"None."

"Good. You have done a fine job. Keep it up!"

"In Muu's name I shall."

Kagato smiled. With another base eliminated, it lessened the places
that the human could access Washu's technology. Not only that, this
would put pressure on the surviving members of the Masakis to come out
of hiding. He didn't care that he was under Muu's command, an
opportunity for revenge against the one who defeated him was close.
Without aid from Jurai, which was having its own problems, he can't
fail now. Just a few more members left indeed.

<><><>

"Nice move."

"Your turn."

"I have a move that may be interesting for you...."
