Ranma Voiceover : Man, this is no way to start a break from college.

After I got that call from cousin Ash, I took a nap and had a dream
about Lina Inverse.

It still irks me that she actually existed, you know.

Anyway, we got some of the gang who was available to take on the
dangers in Another World.

Once in Another World, we found a slave camp and promptly fought Muu's
forces to free them.

Some of Genki's old acquaintances, Tiger and Pixie, were controlled by
Dark Rings.

Both were freed from Muu's controls, but they were near-death upon
freedom.

They were laid to rest at a nearby Holy Shrine, where the souls of
warriors slept.

Zappa, a blacksmith from the El Nino Islands, led us to his shop, were
he promptly made us some weapons.

Jean-luc, a flashy swordsman provided us with some elements for us to
us on our journey.

We decided that our next step was defeating Muu in the past, 8000 BC.

Why do I have a bad feeling about this?

(Opening theme : Chrono Cross Scars Left By Time)

We see a book that slowly flips open, then a page lands to settle on
the pages below. Then, a voice starts to speak.

A deep voice: When was the start of this?

When did the cogs of fate begin to turn?

Perhaps it is impossible to grasp that answer now,

For deep within the flow of time...

But, for a certainty, back then

We loved so many, and hated so much,

We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

But even then, we ran like the wind

                        Whilst our laughter echoed

                           under Cerulean Skies.

We see Ash, his hair being blown in the wind as he stands at the front
of the Highwind deck. Then we see the Eight Dragon Gods floating in the
skies. We see a beam of light lance out in the middle of the ocean,
Muu's palace floating in the middle of it. We see Misty slash two
monsters and cast a bolt of blue ice at another. We see the
Digidestined from left to right.

We see Tenchi and Kagato fighting one on one. We see the Lunar Senshi
fighting monsters. We see Serge, Leena, Kid, Crono, Lucca, Marle. We
see hordes of monsters. We see the Transformed Dragon Armors. We see
Tai and the others. We see Ash standing atop a tall tower, looking
outwards. We see a giant eye opening. We see the Masamune before it. We
see the Digidestined Digitizing. We see the Digimon. We see the
Pokemon. We see the Monsters. We see...FATE. We see Lavos. We see Muu.
We see Two worlds spiraling as one, with a golden figure overlooking
it. We see a strange golden object in the middle of the screen. We see
Ken and Muu's face overlapping his own.

We see darkness enshrouding the world.

We see a shot of Misty on the beach, then she turns towards the screen,
holding her hands out, the picture going into the depths of her blue
eyes.

We see shots of Ash, Misty, Brock, Ranma, Genki, Duplica, Mike and
Leena turning around, flames in the background.

We see the Highwind entering the light and Ash collapsing, the
brilliant white light encircling the Highwind as the picture goes to
the Pokemon Cross logo.

Episode 4 : History Lessons

They were falling. Falling through the flow of time.

As he fell, Ranma had more images in his head. As if some power were
probing him, breaking his head open.

He became unconscious.

"RANMA!" the group cried as they continued falling to who knows where.

<><><>

"It's done. After all my years of research it's done."

"Sir, you mean it's actually done?"

"Yes. I have finally created a spell that no dragon can defend against.
And it doesn't require any talismans of any kind. Of course there is
still a slight problem with it."

"Slight problem?"

"Yes, the thing is, the energy this spell creates is more than enough
to kill any dragon."

"And that's a problem?"

"Well, if you must know, resulting energy with not only definitely kill
any dragon, but will destroy anything surrounding it as well."

"There is always collateral damage when fighting dragons, so?"

"What if I told you it can also wipe an entire village, or a small
city, of the map?"

"IT'S THAT POWERFUL?!"

"That's the nature of the Dragon Slayer spell."

"Sir, what would the people think if one of the greatest mages in the
world, Lei Magnus, created a spell that can destroy villages and city,
with the purpose of killing a dragon? I would hate to think what one
could do with this spell. They would think you sold your soul to
Shabranigdo."

"Now that you mention it, any caster who uses that spell is actually
using Shabrinigdo's power."

"Cephieed ABOVE!" The aid exclaimed, crossing himself.

<><><>

Ranma groaned. 'It's one of those weird dreams again.'

"I think he's getting up."

"Ranma, wake up!"

Ranma regained consciousness. His eyes met the faces of Ash and Misty.

"Hey man, you ok?"

Ranma nodded. "Man, what a ride. What happened?"

Ash shrugged. "I don't know. It seems we got caught in some sort of
time storm and ended up here." Then Ash pointed to an unfamiliar man
who was talking to Genki. "According to that old man there, we are a
place called the 'End of Time.'"

"End of what?" Ranma asked for clarification.

"The End of Time. Supposedly this place is located outside the normal
timestream, so he says."

<><><>

"So you intend to change history?" the old man asked of Genki.

"Yes. We hope that if we destroy Muu in the past, none of the
devastation would have taken place," Genki explained.

"Is that so? How do you know that if you destroy Muu in the past, that
something worse won't happen?" the old man questioned.

"Well... er... you see..." Genki managed to answer.

"You boys don't know what you're getting in to, are you?"

"Well, we sorta planned this on a whim," Genki added.

The old man sighed. "It has been a while since someone has come seeking
a better future for everyone. But no one can ever fully know the
results of such actions."

"This has happened before?"

"Why yes, boy. I remember it was like yesterday. A group of time
travelers found their way here, after seeing that the future only held
nothing but death, sorrow, and hopeless dreams. In their future, a
parasitic creature known as Lavos had risen from its 65 million years
of slumber, and proceeded to destroy the world. They sought to prevent
this, by jumping from epoch to epoch in order to better understand how
Lavos operates."

"So they won against this Lavos, right?"

"They did. But by doing so, they created a future world where the
nature of time and time travel was extensively researched, using a
fragment of Lavos called the Frozen Flame as the key to their
experiments."

As if bending to his will, the void above the man started to twist into
a scene of a trio of adventurers fighting several constructs of doom.
Some of them featured a teen with spiky red hair with a prismatic
katana attacking a large creature with a single eye, others featured a
blue haired teen that carried a weapon similar to Ash's Swallow Weapon,
as he fought against dragons, a creature made of black circuitry and
eventually, even a composite being of all the dragons.

"The world's future was changed through the actions of the time
travelers. But their actions resulted in denying the path that FATE had
determined for them. To this end, yet another parallel world was
created, one that would test the mettle of the ones who would defy FATE
and bring about a new world for peace and prosperity."

"But then, near the year 2400 AD, a terrible cataclysm occurred known
as the Time Crash. The events hurled several research facilities to the
past, nearly 12,000 years."

"But that was not the start of it. Oh no. In the year 12,000 BC, a
young girl known as Schala was thrown into the Terrascat of broken
time, and became twisted and demented. Half of her mind was twisted
into something that wanted to end all life on earth, the other, wanted
to save itself. So, to this end, she created a clone-daughter who was
known as...." Her picture came up in the void. She was a blue eyed,
extraordinarily slender girl dressed in red. "Kid."

"To this end, Belthazar, one of my... ahem, companions back from that
land known as Zeal, traveled back in time from 2400 AD, and
orchestrated events that would restore the balance and unite the
worlds. Unfortunately, no one in this world or the other one, knew of
the world you kids have come from. It seems that all contact was broken
between this world and ours and thus, was only reopened recently when
you had traveled to this place and time."

The elderly man took a drink of water from a concealed water bottle and
continued. "You see, no one can understand the consequences of
traveling back and forth through time, correcting what went wrong. Many
unseen repercussions can come from this course of action. You must be
fully aware that if you do not succeed, or if you do succeed, that
there will be times when this world or your world will have some effect
from the past actions you have undertaken."

Then, the old man then cheered up as he said, "But that's enough. Oh, I
see you have Elements. Those are nothing compared to what we have in
store for you." He turned and pointed to a doorway that apparently lead
to nothing. "See that door? Behind there is the one who will teach you
real magic, not having to rely on Elements. But it is a good idea to
keep all of the most powerful Elements you find."

"Real magic?" Ash asked, a wide eyed look on his face.

"How awesome," Misty seconded.

"It sure would be handy, being able to do magic all the time." Brock
flexed his arms and started to walk to the door.

"I'm with Brock," Ash said, following him.

Soon, everyone was inside as they faced a furry white creature who
bounced up and down with unbound energy. "Hiya folks!" he said
cheerily. "I'm Spekkio, the Master of War! Throw those Elements away,
you don't need them with Real Magic around you!"

"You!" Speekio said, pointing to Ash, "You're Lightning. You, with the
red hair. You're water. Spiky Boy over there is Fire."

Speekio then turned to Genki, Mike, Duplica and Ranma. "The kid with
the roller blades is Shadow. You, the other guy is Water. You, young
lady is Lightning. And... WHOA!"

"What?!" Ranma asked, a bit perturbed.

"Wow man, you must be a powerful mage or something, cause I see all
colors of the spectrum on ya! Can't stick with one type, cause you're a
new CLASS!"

"I knew it," Genki muttered, mock perturbed. "Ranma always gets the
cool stuff."

"Hey, ain't my fault."

"Never mind that," Speekio said, "You're a new type called Prism. That
means you're Shadow, Fire, Ice, Lightning, and all that good stuff in
between. Now it's my turn!" Speekio started to spin as he chanted,
"Eenie miney moe, ifactso!"

In an instant, energy flowed into their bodies. Then, Ranma gasped as a
torrent of images flooded his mind for a split second before he
stumbled. Duplica held him up. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"So, fortified with Magic! Wanna try it out?" Speekio asked, rubbing
his hands in glee.

I won't get into the battle parameters but suffice to say, that it was
short and brutal.

Speekio didn't stand a chance.

"Grr! That was most embarrassing!" Speekio said, after getting up from
the many assaults of magic. "Okay, you kids win. Here's my Special
Magic Kit!"

Speekio removed a package from somewhere and tossed it to Ash. Ash
opened it up to find a few elixirs, a few tonics and a mess of pills in
various colors. The bottles holding the pills were labeled, Magic Tabs,
Power Tabs, Speed Tabs.

"Thanks for helping us Speekio!" Misty said, hugging the embarrassed
Master of War.

Back in the gates, the elderly man smiled. "So, you learned to use
magic. Through the course of your adventure, you will find you will
need to use Magic in several ways that you could not dream of. For now,
get some rest. Tomorrow, I will start construction of your new Time
Machine."

<><><>

Mike, always the practical one, started to wonder where in the world
the elderly man was getting his building materials. But soon enough, in
time that seemed to be less than what it felt like, a shining new ship
stood, waiting for it's master to take up it's reigns and fly it
through the time stream.

The ship was long, a shining silver color. As large as the Phoenix, it
obviously supported a crew of eight, each one taking certain jobs.
Bunks and other such storage spaces were in the Neo Epoch as well.

"Wow, it's so cool looking!" Duplica enthused.

"Of course. The ship can house eight people and transport several more.
Through that Phoenix Gate that you kids gave me, I tied it in as the
Ships main Time Stream Breaker. And I also took into account that your
Digivices allowed you to cross dimensions, so I added a tie in. Just
slot one of them in here," he pressed a button and the front opened up,
revealing a small place for a Digivice to sit, "and you can break the
boundaries of reality once again."

"This is so cool," Ash said.

Ranma nodded and then yawned. "Man am I tired...."

"So am I...." Ash started to slump to the ground, his eyelids heavy.

"Aw man.... soo.... tired...." Brock also started to slump to the
ground

as well.

Ash, Ranma and Brock's eyelids were drooping like Jigglypuff had
somehow found its way here and started to sing. Soon, Ranma, Ash and
Brock were fast asleep.

<><><>

"Where on Earth am I now?! And why am I.... so....tired....."

Whump.

An old man looked down on the fallen lost boy, a half smile twisting
his face. "Sleep well Ryoga Hibiki, for today, you will see the past
and the future of things to come."

The man then sat down, crossing his legs in wait. He was good at
waiting, and Today was no exception.

<><><>

"C'mon Gourry, that's MY Chicken!"

"I saw it first!"

The pair not fighting over food just sighed in unison.

Inside though, two people were panicking.

//AAAHHHH! I'm a girl again!// Ash sobbed. //Why does this happen to
me?// Then, he noticed that he wasn't in control of his body. //Huh?
Hey, isn't that...//

Someone else, on the other hand, was taking this in stride, having
experienced weird stuff like this all the time. //Wow,// Ryoga thought.
//Wonder what's going on here?// A hand came up and rubbed his chin,
the sound of two rocks scraping together was heard. //Rocks?//

//What's going on here?// Ranma thought. //I'm in someone else's body?
How can this happen? And isn't that Gourry Gabriev?//

Suddenly, the fork in the body's hand lashed out and stabbed Gourry in
the hand. He howled and dropped the food.

"Finally!" Ranma heard his voice say, "I'm a pregnant woman! I need to
eat!"

//Pregnant?// Brock thought curiously. Then, his body, unwillingly,
looked at the large bulge in the girls stomach and his non-existent
eyes bulged out. //NO WAY! That's Lina Inverse! What in the world is
going on here?//

Strangely enough, the same thoughts were being echoed in the others
minds.

<><><>

Ranma had shut his metaphoric eyes all through the scene that would
count as Lemon, as with Brock. As he opened them cautiously, he found
himself lying on his back, chest heaving. It wasn't his body of course
but the idea of... brr. The thought sent shivers up his spine.

//How can this get any worse?// Ranma thought.

//Aw man, I hope no one finds out about this,// Brock thought.

"Hey Lina," Gourry said, "did you get any thoughts about what we should
name the child?"

"I dunno Gourry. I've thought about a few names but not many come to
mind. Why?"

"Well, what if it's girl? I was thinking about girl and guy names and
came up with a few of them."

"Oh? Like what?"

"Well, what about Jason and Brittany?"

"Naw, not really."

"Well how about Abbot and Costello?"

"Sounds too manly. C'mon Gourry, think!"

"Laurel and Hardy?"

"Say something stupid one more time my DEAR father-of-my-child and I'll
FLATTEN you."

"Hey I got it!" Gourry and Lina's face turned to look at each other,
their unwilling company following their gaze. "If it's a girl, her name
will be Holly. And if it's a guy, we'll name him Carrot."

"Carrot? Why Carrot?"

Gourry shrugged, placing his muscular arms under his head. "Carrot was
the name of my cousin. My full name is Gourry Glace Gabriev."

At this, Ranma and Brock's eyes widened in shock. //NO WAY!//

They thought in unison.

"Hmmm.... Carrot Glace Gabriev. I like that. And Holly Glace Gabriev."

"I do have another name for if we have two guys," Gourry said. "How
about we call him Marron?"

"Marron Glace Gabriev. Not bad."

Ranma was banging his metaphoric head on a metaphoric wall as the
surreal reality had sunk into his mind. Brock was stone shocked as he
played the names over and over in his mind. Then, they felt the bodies
taking control once again.

"Gourry?" Lina purred, "I have a headache...."

Gourry smiled as he embraced the smaller girl. "I can make it go
away..."

//Here we go again,// Ranma and Brock thought as they shut their eyes
once again.

<><><>

"Hey guys! Get up!"

Ranma rolled over, his head swimming. "Man, what a nightmare."

"Can't be worse than what I dreamt," Brock muttered. "Gourry
Gabriev.....oi..."

Ranma froze. "Lina Inverse. Carrot Glace Gabriev."

Brock looked at Ranma, his eyes wide. "No way.... Marron Glace
Gabriev...."

"What are you two talking about?" Misty asked and the two men froze.

"Um.... private thing."

Ash shook his head and sighed as the pair fled to the shining columns
of light in the other room. "Man, this is a weird place. I'll be happy
to get out of here soon enough."

<><><>

"Hey sir... you alright?" prodded an old man, poking his stick.

"Huh... wha... where am I? How I get here?" mumbled Ryoga as he got up.
He winced as a splitting headache rocked his vision for a second,
making Him stumble about for a few seconds before righting himself.

The old man blinked. "You don't even know where you are, sonny boy?"

Ryoga shrugged, looking at the short man. "I'm always lost sir."

"Oh well. How about I lead you back to my cabin? You look tired." The
old man noted, allowing Ryoga the chance to ask for directions.

"That's alright. I need to get back on my journey anyway." With that
Ryoga left, going in the direction opposite of what he intended.

The old man smiled and disappeared into thin air.

Ryoga paused as he whirled around and asked, "Can you direct me to.."
The Old man was nowhere in sight. Ryoga scratched his head in
confusion. "Funny, I could have sworn he was here a second ago."

<><><>

Reality warped and bent as a figure tore through the barriers. If this
was a normal Universe, Sailor Pluto would have had a fit. Then again,
she wasn't around to Do so. Specifically, she was dead.

The elderly man seemed to float to the floor as he transformed into the
familiar Form of the Trickster Priest. As his cloak floated down around
him, he stood and Reached out for his omnipresent staff with a ruby
topping it. It came to him as he Inquired, "So, what do we do now
Gennai?"

Gennai, who sat in his chair in front of the fire, looked up and said,
"now, we wait For more instructions."

Xellos nodded, sat down and started to sip at some tea. Then, he sighed
and set the cup down again. Gennai looked up, a quirky smile on his
aged face. "You still can't get used to it, can you Xellos?"

"When you've been a Mazoku for as long as I have Gennai, things come as
quite a shocker when you're employed by the forces of Light," Xellos
replied testily. "Ten thousand years ago, I was one of the greatest
general-priests under Beastmaster Zelas. Now, I am just a pawn in this
type of game, with new powers and new rules governing it."

Gennai chuckled. "Yes, I must agree. But in our case, we must wait for
whatever may Prevent the Disaster from happening."

"True enough," Xellos said, taking another sip. Then, eyeing him over
the cup, he cracked an eye open. "Old friend."

The pair shared a chuckle as they drank to better times. And Xellos
smiled to himself. He can't participate directly in the events, but he
can indirectly bring things about that he would avenge her.

Not that he knew what really happened, but he knew Muu was much
responsible for it. The disappearance of his old master.

<><><>

"I'm driving," Misty said, sitting down in the front chair. She looked
the controls over and quickly figured it out. One stick control,
accelerator grip on the right side, keypad that you typed in the time
destination with several preset time eras and such. After a minute, she
cracked her knuckles and keyed the front of the pad, the temporal
engine starting up. "Phoenix Gate?" she asked, Genki placing the Gate
in her hand. She slotted the Gate and then took off her own Digivice,
fitting it to the slot. Then, she turned up. "Everything looks good."

"Man, Misty sure knows how to pilot things now," Brock said.

"Well, she did fly us everywhere in the Phoenix back home."

The old man came up behind them and cleared his throat. "I suggest you
head to 8000 BC. Not to fight Muu, but observe his every move. See how
he operates BEFORE you leap headlong into trouble."

Genki rubbed the back of his head, laughing nervously. "Well, we'll TRY
to keep from getting into trouble."

One by one, they shuffled into the Neo Epoch, Duplica pausing to smile
and thank Gaspar. Then, strapping in, Misty taking her customary seat
at the pilot seat. She started to flick the controls to an on position
as she switched on the ignition. The Epoch flared to life as she pulled
away from the docking ring that the Epoch was created on.

"Electron batteries to full, Turbines to Speed." Misty grinned as she
tapped in the Temporal Destination. "Ride like the Wind Epoch!"

Duplica could have sworn that the Epoch had reared back on non-existent
legs as it shot forwards into the darkness.

Gaspar watched them disappear into the darkness with a bright flash as
Speekio came out beside him, clasping his hands behind his head. "I
guess it'll all work out, ne Gaspar?"

"Let us hope so Speekio, let us hope so." He just looked into the
darkness. "Keep an eye on them Canal. And hopefully you'll return to
your home."
