Brock Voiceover : hey, whazzaup? Okay, we got to 8000 BC with the help of the Epoch. After meeting the cute ships OS Canal Vorfeed, she let us have some fun over in Atlas City. There, we met Lina Inverse and company. Oi vey. Ash, Genki and Pikachu fought a dragon while Ranma and Lina fought the spirits of the Masamune. When we got back, the Epoch was missing! Someone highjacked it for a joyride! To make matters worse, we're falling through time. Sucks to be us, ne? (Opening theme : Chrono Cross Scars Left By Time) We see a book that slowly flips open, then a page lands to settle on the pages below. Then, a voice starts to speak. A deep voice : When was the start of this? When did the cogs of fate begin to turn? Perhaps it is impossible to grasp that answer now, For deep within the flow of time... But, for a certainty, back then We loved so many, and hated so much, We hurt others and were hurt ourselves... But even then, we ran like the wind Whilst our laughter echoed under Cerulean Skies. We see Ash, his hair being blown in the wind as he stands at the front of the Highwind deck. Then we see the Eight Dragon Gods floating in the skies. We see a beam of light lance out in the middle of the ocean, Muu's palace floating in the middle of it. We see Misty slash two monsters and cast a bolt of blue ice at another. We see the Digidestined from left to right. We see Tenchi and Kagato fighting one on one. We see the Lunar Senshi fighting monsters. We see Serge, Leena, Kid. Crono, Lucca, Marle. We see hordes of monsters. We see the Transformed Dragon Armors. We see Tai and the others. We see Ash standing atop a tall tower, looking outwards. We see a giant eye opening. We see the Masamune before it. We see the Digidestined Digitizing. We see the Digimon. We see the Pokemon. We see the Monsters. We see...FATE. We see Lavos. We see Muu. We see Two worlds spiraling as one, with a golden figure overlooking it. We see a strange golden object in the middle of the screen. We see Ken and Muu's face overlapping his own. We see darkness enshrouding the world. We see a shot of Misty on the beach, then she turns towards the screen, holding her hands out, the picture going into the depths of her blue eyes. We see shots of Ash, Misty, Brock, Ranma, Genki, Duplica, Mike and Leena turning around, flames in the background. We see the Highwind entering the light and Ash collapsing, the brilliant white light encircling the Highwind as the picture goes to the Pokemon Cross logo. Magic Tech Productions...... BKN Network 4Kids and Fox Corporation the creators of Tenchi Muyo and Ranma 1/2 and Squaresoft Incorporated Proudly Presents Pokemon Cross the direct sequel to the series Pokemon 152 - ? 2000 Episode 6: A Serge In The Time Stream Another World, circa 1020 AD Arni Village Outskirts The gate opened up, and with a hearty burp and spit up, the gate became a giant mouth as it spit out the time travelers with a hearty "PHPPHFT!" Misty wiped the spit off of her top as she groaned. "Eew, that's gross!" "Sorry," the gate said in a Brooklyn accent before closing on itself. Ash looked at Ranma imploringly before the pigtailed martial artist shrugged and said, "The author's watching too much Tiny Toons and Animaniacs movies and episodes." To prove his point, Wakko, Yakko and Dot charged across their point of view, shortly followed by the obese guard, Ralph. "Dah, youse seen three kidses run across here?" he inquired. "They went thataway," Brock said, jabbing a thumb in their previous direction. "Thanks' youse," the obese guard said, dashing away with a speed one wouldn't give for a man his size. "My point proven, I think we can expect this kind of lunacy throughout the episode," Ranma said. Then, an odd look came over him as he patted himself down. "Oh crap... I lost it." "Lost what?" Genki asked, getting over his shock of seeing the Warners. "The Masamune. I must have lost it in transit." "I suppose it's no loss, none of us can use it, right?" Misty said. Duplica shrugged and easily leapt to the top of the ridge and pulled a small set of binoculars from her pack and stared out. "Well, wherever we are, we're not home. There's a canyon to the right and over there is a small village." "Great, we're lost in Time AND another world," Mike griped. "We're doomed." The seven then picked themselves started to head off towards the small village. <><><> Home World, circa 2100 AD, Crystal Tokyo "AAAAAAAUUUHHHHH...uh?" The sudden acceleration quickly dropped off as the ship slowed to a halt in midair. Lina opened her eyes and muttered, "Are we dead?" "Hardly," Canal griped. "Thanks to your spell and the activation of the Time Slip device, we're in Home World, circa 2100 AD." "Home World? What do you mean Home World?" Zelgadis asked, after unmashing himself from the pilot's seat. "You said we crossed dimensions, right? How can we be in a place named Home World when we were in our home world?" Canal began to answer but a blinking was heard. She scrunched up her nose in anger as she activated the Comm system. "WHAT?" she barked. Then, she blinked in surprise as a person peered back at her, grinning madly. So did Zelgadis, for a different reason. "About time you got here Canal. We were that we would be expecting," Zelgadis Greywords said, grinning. "We're waiting for you, you're cleared to dock in Port B." "Roger," Canal said, still surprised at the sudden hail. The screen shut off as the Epoch smoothly made the transition from flying to landing. Soon, they touched down. Canal opened the hatch and stepped out, followed by the others. Waiting for them was a woman in pure white, great wings made of shimmering cloth stretching out from a bow on her back. Beside her were a petite redheaded woman and a blonde man with medium length hair, and another man in black armor and a sword at his side. "Wow, look at this place," Gourry said. All around them was a solid crystal city with landing ports and several jutting spires of crystal around key areas of the city. "It's so pretty!" Amelia gushed. The redhead then stepped up, and started to look over Lina critically. Then, she nodded, smiled and said, "Wow, I really was flat chested back then." Lina seethed. "Who're you calling FLAT CHESTED!" The other laughed a bit. "Oh, don't get your panties in a knot, I'm you, from this world." Gourry stepped forwards and squeezed H-Lina's chest. "Wow Lina, you're bigger than my Lina." H-Lina smacked his hand away. "Quit it Gourry, I'm a Married Woman." H-Gourry behind her just waved to the Slayers' shock. "Wow, we all look a bit different in this world," Amelia said. "That's because we're reincarnations," another voice popped into the conversation, as two people, one purple haired, the other black haired dropped in from the skies. "Hi, I'm Home Zel and this is Home Amelia." "You're... you're cured!" Zelgadis sputtered in shock. Meanwhile, Amelia was looking over her counterpart. "I don't look quite the same as you," she mentioned to her counterpart. "That's because we've got a few changes when we were reborn," H-Amelia said. "Reborn?!" the newly arrived group sputtered. "I think we should retire to the palace," the silver-blonde haired woman said, "please, come this way." The group just shrugged and followed their older counterparts into the towering crystal shaft. Canal was about to follow when a certain voice stopped her. "Well, looked like Setsuna was right. Nice to see you again Canal." Canal turned to see the person and was in shock at who it was. "Professor Belthasar..." <><><> "Are you pondering what I'm pondering Pinky?" "I think so Brain. But Sega doesn't make game machines anymore." "No Pinky, you dimwit! That's a Time Machine over there! If we take control of it, I can rule the past!" "Oh brilliant Brain.... but um... how do we get in?" Even the Brain could facefault. <><><> Another World circa 1020 AD Arni Village "Wow, look at this place," Squit said, looking over it. "It's like totally dead, we could be bigger than Kings here!" "What're you saying? Are you saying we're the LA Kings? You're saying I'm a jersey wearing, toothless, slapshot screwing up King? Is dat what you're saying?!" Pesto demanded. "No no, I'm not saying that!" Squit yelped, panicking. "THAT'S IT!" With that, Pesto tore into Squit, Bobby laughing loudly. Mike rolled his eyes at the three Goodfeathers antics as the small group crossed over into the small village of Arni. People milled around the small square. A middle-aged man looked up and crooked his eyebrow. "You're new here? Are you from the mainland?" "Yeah, we are," Ash delivered smoothly true to the bogus story they cooked up before entering the village. The older man eyed Ash's Stone Swallow slung over his shoulder. "Say kid, you're using one unique weapon there. Go talk ta Chief Radius if you wanna learn how to use that thing properly." Ash nodded and then turned to everyone. "Okay people, fan out, find out where we are and who could be our allies here." <><><> "It's kinda hot today," Leena said, sitting down on the edge of the pier. She sighed, pulling a handkerchief from her pocket, and started to mop her forehead. "Leena!" called one of the kids, "Why don't you come swimming with us?" "No, you kids go on ahead!" Leena called out. "OKAY!" Just then, a guy dressed in a leather jacket and a blue shirt and pants came up and sat down beside her. "Hi," he greeted. "Hello, are you new here?" Leena asked. Then, her eyebrows crooked in question. "Isn't that a Porre Military Uniform?" Mike did a sweatdrop take as he chuckled nervously. "Yeah, I'm on... vacation! All my stuff is in the laundry." With that, he shucked off the leather over jacket and wiped his forehead. "I'm Mike." "Leena." The pair exchanged handshakes. Then, Leena looked out onto the waters smooth edge, a thoughtful look on her face. "The sea never changes, does it...? It's been rolling in and out, like this, since before we were born. It's been here for eternity, it seems... It's probably seen many things... Heard many things... It'll probably keep rolling in and out, long after our lifetime... Without a single change..." She then blushed as she looked a bit flustered. "I'm sorry, I have a tendency to ramble on." "No, go on," Mike said, "That was nice." Leena giggled. "You're really nice for a Porre Military man. What's a man like you doing down here in this small village?" "Well, I sorta went on a long vacation and let's say, I ended up here. For what it's worth, I think it's a beautiful place." The pair drifted into silence as they watched the kids splash around in the endless sea. <><><> "Youth in Arnith," the lipsing pink pooch said to Ash and Brock as they questioned her what the place was like. "For more information, I'llth helpth you for a Hekwan Bone." The pair thanked Poshul as they headed back outside from the house. In the middle of the village center, the pair met up with Misty and Duplica who looked kind of weirded out. "What's wrong Misty?" Ash asked curiously. "There's a Barrel and Pot in the small cafe/flower shop over there that talks," Misty said, a big sweatdrop on her forehead. "And in the other room, a family lives with a big talking Straw Voodoo Doll." Ash's eyes went big. "Big Talking Straw Voodoo Doll?" "Something the matter Ash?" Brock asked. Everyone turned to look at the younger member of the team. "It's just that.... naw, forget it." Ash said. Besides, it had to be a coincidence. "Where's Ranma?" The girls asked simultaneously. A sudden blast of magic was seen from the other side of the town as Brock grinned. "Offhand, I'd say he's over there." <><><> Ranma coughed up a puff of smoke as he looked at the elderly man with new respect. "That was some fight," he said, massaging his arms. "Hohoho!" Radius, chief of Arni chuckled. "It'll take more than a young whippersnapper like you to take me down!" "I thought for a second Ranma would take him down," Genki said offhand to the young man who leaned against the wall with him. Serge snickered and said that Radius was formerly one of the 4 Devas, the highest Ranking Dragoons in the whole island of El Nido. "Yeah, but he was on his knees! I thought for SURE Ranma had him then!" "Never under estimate the power of the Vital Force Tech," Radius chuckled as Ranma rejoined his friends. Ranma grinned. "I'll get ya next time old man," he taunted in a lighthearted tone of voice. "Old?" Radius scoffed, "I may be sixty but I'm not that old!" "He's right," interrupted a new voice. The others turned to find a gray squirrel, obviously in the elderly stages, accompanied by a young brown one. "when you get to my age, you'll WISH you were young. Ah, youth." "Squirly-head!" Suddenly, Elmyra came charging across the clearing, only to be flattened by a neatly placed anvil. "Ah, whatta yutz," Slappy proclaimed. "Nice work Aunt Slappy!" Skippy enthused. "Very well done," Radius allowed, barely holding in laughter. The three younger people were sweatdropping. "It takes years of practice to deliver an anvil like that," Slappy said. Ranma just shook his head. "Whatever." "C'mon Ranma, the sun's going down," Genki said. "We need a place to stay for the night." Serge then pushed up from his leaning position on the wall and said he could put a few people up for the night. Radius nodded as well. "I am most willing to put someone up at my place. And I am sure Leena would be most willing to house someone." "Well we wouldn't want to impose..." Genki started but Radius cut him off. "Not on your life, we don't throw people out in Arni," Radius said. "Come, gather your friends, we will put people up in some of the homes." <><><> Home World 2100 AD, Crystal Palace "Wow, this is so cool!" Amelia gushed. The palace was a grand affair, with large crystal quartz chandeliers glowing with golden sun crystals, a panoramic three hundred sixty view, and a sort of court setup with two thrones at the front of the room. H-Amelia just grinned a bit. "Welcome to the Crystal Throne Room." Gourry took one look at it and went, "Ooh, how Spielbergian." "This is all nice and dandy, but what're we going to do about getting home?" Zelgadis asked, crossing his arms. H-Zelgadis just rolled his eyes. "Simple, we wait." "Wait? As in no activity for a long time?!" Lina nearly screeched. "Why waiting is a virtue," H-Lina said, wagging her finger in the same way Xellos did so. "I hate waiting," Lina muttered. H-Lina was about to snap off a witty remark when a loud echoing laugh was heard, and a woman in a men's shirt and a black leather skirt dropped from the skies. She posed and laughed loudly. "OHOHOHOHOHO! I am here mon ami!" "NAGA?!" Lina exclaimed, her worst horror come to life in front of her. "Why Lina," Naga said, addressing the Another World version. "I see you're still no match for my figure! To think I, the great and powerful Naga the Serpent, came here for a duel that would end all duels! OHOHOHOHOHOHO!" "Um, Naga, over here." Naga stopped laughing as she turned around and her jaw dropped far through the crystal flooring. "How, what, where?" she gibbered in fright. "Long story Naga," H-Lina said, rolling her eyes. "C'mon, I'll explain on the way back home." "You must be hungry," The Neo Queen said, gesturing towards the kitchen as the Naga and H-Lina left for Naga's place. "Please, come and eat, there's plenty of food." "Alright! FOOD FOOD FOOD!" The group tore off like a shot, making a dust cloud as they left. <><><> "Now then Pinky, I will set the course for the year 1000 AD! There, we will be able to rule the world, starting with Japan! YES!" "Egad Brain!" Pinky agreed, "This is so much fun!" "Activate the Time Machine Pinky! Set the Co-ordinates!" "Righto Brain!" But before the pair of World Domination Striving Mice could start to work, Canal phased in and took one look, her eyes growing big. "EEEEEK! MICE!" Canal didn't know how two mice got inside the Epoch, but she isn't going to have any mice bring filth to the time machine. A few minutes later a couple of beat up mice left the vicinity of the Time Machine. "I should have known there was a sentient computer system aboard. Come on, we must get back to Professor Belthasar's Lab and make plans for tomorrow night." "What are we doing tomorrow night?" "Guess," was Brain's response. "Try to take over the World?" Pinky hazarded. "Bingo." "Oh I LOVE Bingo! It's so much funner than trying to take over the World!" WHAP! "Zort! Hahahaha!" <><><> Another World circa 1020, Leena's house "You can stay here, in my room," Leena said, showing Mike her room. "I'll just take a hammock." "No way!" Mike exclaimed. "You take your room, I'll sleep on the hammock." "You sure?" Leena said, brushing back a lock of hair from her face. "Poshul snores." "I can deal with a snoring dog." "I snowre reawly lowd," Poshul warned. "I can deal with snoring. My brothers used to snore in unison." Leena shrugged before removing a hammock and pillow from storage, and pulling out a screen. The pair quickly hung it up from the ceiling before Leena turned to him. "Don't forget to blow out the lamp before going to sleep. Good night." As Leena entered her room, Mike yawned and stretched out, taking off his shirt and jacket, hanging them on a nail on the wall. He also removed his gun belt and hung it up there. Laying down on the hammock, he blew out the lamp, and let the warm air of the El Nido islands waft over him. As he stared out into the skies of the El Nido islands, he was amazed at the sight of the two moons. One, white with the rabbit pounding a mocchi in it, and the other, a rusty red moon with etchings in it. He sighed, trying to let the warm air waft over him. Soon, a loud rumble came from Poshul's doghouse as Mike groaned and rolled over. The sound grew and grew, starting from a truck racing down the street at 90 miles an hour. It didn't stop there, went onto the sound of a 747 doing multiple nosedives. After a minute of sonic torture, he slipped out the door, and padded towards the pier where he stood, letting the ocean breeze waft over him, the wisps of cool/warm air moving over his bare chest. A goofy little grin came onto his face as he looked up into the skies, reminded of a little song from a certain show the people at the American based Warner Bros. Company did, which by the way was now own by some popular Internet Service Provider. AOL it was called. "It's a great big universe, and we're all really puny We're just tiny little specks about the size of Mickey Rooney Though we don't know how it got here We're an important part here It's a big universe and it's ours!" Mike finished singing the little ditty as he heard a soft footfall behind him. Turning around, he found Leena standing there, dressed in her nightgown. "That was a.... funny little song," she said, smiling. 'God, her smile could light up a stadium,' he thought, swallowing. "Thanks, it's a song from my home." Leena felt a wellspring of emotion rise up in her chest. After Serge had woken up from fainting on the beach a day ago, he had been so... distant. Somehow, she knew, he was starting to drift away. To where? She didn't know. Crossing the gap between them, she suddenly threw herself into Mike's arms. Mike, to say the least, was shocked. "Leena? Wha...?" "Shh, just hold me." Mike nodded and complied. At the end of the pier, Duplica watched, a tear in her eyes. She inhaled deeply before turning away. Then, a voice startled her out of her self- pity. "He still loves you," Ranma said, stepping out of the shadows. Duplica jumped. "How'd you do that?" she demanded in a hushed voice. "Umisenken, Silent Thief Technique. But never mind that, you care for Mike, don'tcha?" Duplica blushed but Ranma pushed his advantage. "He's young, he's confused. Two women love him, and he's confused because of that. It's a classic love triangle." "But.... I don't know if I can still love him.... will he love me back?" Ranma waved his hand dismissively. "He's still young. But I know a triangle when I see one, hell, I've been in one myself. Give it time, he'll tell both of your when he's ready. Right now, Leena needs a good friend, even I could see that Serge guy is still confused and in love with that Kid girl I saw a long time ago." He grinned as he patted her on the back, leading Duplica to the house they stayed in. "C'mon, let's get some sleep. We're heading off tomorrow to Termina. Maybe there we can get a boat to the Mainland and somehow get to Guardia." "Guardia? Why there?" Duplica asked curiously. "That's where King Crono Guardia reigns. He's familiar to the whole Time Travel thing according to Genki's computer. You really don't want to cross over in this time, do ya?" Duplica smiled as she shook her head and the pair entered the house. Across the way, Serge stood, watching the pair embrace each other. His heart still ached from his loss. When he had fought Time Devourer with Kid and Glenn, the world was reunited. Termina, was under co-operative jurisdiction of both Porre and General Viper, who had made a non-agressive pact with each. Each one of his team who had a duplicate in Home World, as he called the place where he grew up, merged with the duplicate, memories apparently sealed off. Once or twice, he had looked longingly at the sea, watching, waiting. Just for a glimpse of... who knows? Perhaps he wanted to see Kid once again, after she had merged with Schala, she left the Terriscat, and said in a hauntingly mysterious voice, "Something has to be done right now. I'll be back, I'll search the world over for you." No one remembered, only Serge did. Only the friendship between his teammates still stayed intact, each one of them recognizing each other in the streets of any of any of the towns or cities. And as he watched Leena and the newcomer Mike separate and Leena then retired to her home, he gathered his courage and stepped up the dock to where Mike stood, watching the ocean as he did. Serge greeted him, saying it was a nice night. "Oh? Serge, you're up pretty late...." Mike rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. "I guess you... saw us, didn't you?" Serge nodded and said he did. Mike then stooped down and started to trace a spiral into the water below the dock. "I guess you're pretty mad at me, ne?" Serge chuckled a bit as he sat down beside him. 'Let me tell you a story,' he said as the pair watched the moon rise in the northern skies. <><><> Home World 2100 AD The Gabriev's Home "You can use the Guest room, Gourry gets the couch." "I get the couch? What did I do?" H-Gourry got an elbow to the gut by his wife. "Not you, the other Gourry," she snapped. Then, turning to Lina, she asked, "You okay?" "Yeah, this is just a shocker," Lina said, dropping her cape. "Seeing a kid I may not even have, all this cool stuff.... is that a Orihalcon Statue?" Lina bolted over to the mantle where a familiar statuette stood. "This looks awfully familiar." "It's a statue my daughter did for my thirty third birthday." Lina turned around and gaped at the young looking Gabriev in shock. H-Lina just grinned. "I stayed this way because of Immortality." "Immortality?" Lina felt a sickening lurch in her stomach as she remembered the sick and twisted experiment that guy Halsaform did in Atlas City to bring back his dead wife. "You didn't...." H-Lina laughed. "No, no, we used the Silver Crystal. No pledges either. Plus, my martial arts conditioning is so good that I'll live for a long time even without the immortality." "Pledges? But Lina... what about that pledge with the Lord of Nightmares we made when... OW!" H-Gourry started to say but was soon shut up by the whack on the head. Gourry just scratched his head. "This is really confusing." His elder counterpart just shrugged, clapped a hand on his shoulder and said, "C'mon, let's go watch something on the TV." "TV, what's that?" "Oh yeah... you don't have many techno thingies yet." H-Gourry led his other self to the den and soon, they were laughing at an old rerun of Tiny Toons and various other Warner Bros. cartoons. Lina just stood in shock upon hearing "her" name. "Um... a pact with the LORD OF NIGHTMARES?!" H-Lina just sighed. <><><> Another World circa 1020 AD Arni Village "Thank you for your hospitality," Ash said, bowing. The group copied his motion as the group prepared their supplies. "Of course, you are all welcome to come and visit any time," Radius said. "Here." Into Ash's hands, he pressed a glowing bar. "This is the Unicorn Summon. Use it well, it can protect your party from harm." Serge reached into his pocket and then pulled out a white bar, giving it to Mike. He told Mike it was a HolyHealing Element. Then, he clapped the young teen on the shoulder, telling him to come back someday. Mike nodded, and grinned. "We'll be back." As they turned to leave, a call came out. "WAIT!" Leena ran up, carrying a big pack. "I'm coming with you." "Wha?" Mike stammered. "But-but-but..." "No buts," Leena said firmly, her hands on her hips. "I'm coming and that's final." Serge then pointed out she needed protection. Leena then pulled off a frying pan hung on the side of her backpack. "Saucepan Si02," she replied, swinging it around lightly. "I can handle myself." Genki barked a short laugh. "A saucepan?! That's rich!" He was immediately bonked. "Ooh, look, stars. Narf!" "I rest my case," she said. "Besides, I have Elements. I'll do just fine." Just then, a loud, truly unique voice was heard, with a cute overtone. "Hold on there a second!" "Speekio!" The Digidestined exclaimed, spinning around, to admit the Self-Proclaimed Master of War. He was still in his Kiwala form as he stepped up to Leena. "Hey there, you're a Water! Ice type to be precise! Here I go! Eenie-miney-moe-ifactso!" A blast of water engulfed Leena for a brief second before it died down. Then, a chilling wind blew as she felt energized to the core. "I feel... wonderful!" "So, fortified with magic! Wanna try it out?" Speekio asked, grinning. "No way," Mike grinned, "we kicked your butt last time." Speekio pouted. "Fighting you guys is such a drag, you're such party poopers." Brock chuckled. "C'mon, we need to get going if we're going to get to Termina before dark." "Right. Thanks for everything!" With the happy thought in mind, the group set out, ready for new challenges that would await them from beyond the horizon. End Episode 6 : To Be Continued.
