Book 1: A Brief Background

    Thrust into a war against the Proximian Empire and their Allies; the Beatan Hedgemony, the Terran Federation joins forces with the Alphan Conglomerate to create a new United Federation.  Proximan interest lie with the subjegation of Alpha, their litteral neighbors in the Rigel Kentarus Sectors of the Milky Way Galaxy.  It has a been a dream lusted after by the Empire ever since first contact was achieved.

In a shrewd tactifull maneuver, Proxima brings the Betans lying in the NGC4565 Galaxy into an Alliance, promising rich rewards and territory for their assistance against the Terran Federation.  In 2171 (TST) the war machines of both Empires are unleasehed upon their peaceful neigbors, plunging the known universe into bitter strife.

It is now 2173 (TST) and the Proximian juggurnaught is pressing on towards the homeworlds of Alpha.  Hard fighting from Federation forces have slowed down their assault, but losses are mounting.  Pressed between a virtual two-front war, the Federation High Command has ordered Vice-Admiral Happosai's Task Force 56 to the Omegan Centauri Star Quadrant to tiedown the Proximian forces invading the System of Tauri.

With resources limited, ships and equiptment in short supply, the feisty Admiral takes on the bold task knowing that they stand a good chance of never returning home ever again...
